BC has been hard at work redesigning the Eel! We are trying to take the board to the next level by making it more versatile freeride board. The Eel will be 41.5" long x 9.75" wide. That is .5" shorter and .5" wider increasing the concave to .75" with 1" of camber. The nose and tail will be symmetrical at 2.75" long and 4" wide with slight flair's which will increase surface area for shuvits/manuals/g-turns etc... The platform will bend out from the nose/tail at a sharper angle to give you more space to work your magic. The wheel base has been shortened by .5" making this deck carvier than ever! This deck will also have drop thru mounting to slightly lower the deck. We are in the final stages of production and should have this board available for purchase soon!! Check back for updates. Below is a rough template of the new design. Actual pics coming soon....

Please comment and lets us know your thoughts on the new shape!!

Oh my that almost everything I've been looking for! No lies I've been leaning towards a dervish but really liked all your shapes and your style. Oh and lets face is its always great to help out an independent builder.

The flex will be relatively the same as it was before! We took the cut-outs off the side of the platform which will stiffen the board slightly. I weigh in at 150lbs and my buddy at 210lbs and I get good flex on this board while at the same time he doesn't bottom it out when riding. The board is buildt around a median wieght of 170-180lbs.

Do I? Are you kidding? I took the originals off of it and slapped some of my old paris trucks on it! Excellent desicion on my part. The board is a blast to ride. Its so drifty! I take it in the parking garages mostly due to the lack of dh here in oklahoma, and I didnt really know how to drift/slide but since I got that board its been so easy to learn on! I'm not really familiar with LDP boards, but this one works great for me...Its really low to the ground the hump in the board really helps with my foot placement. Rumor has it BC is working on putting it into production but who knows...

I loved that board for so long, but I just can't purchase it due to the lack of money, wha wha whaaaa... haha, but anyways I am thinking that is going to be my next board. The shape is unlike anything I have seen before.

Are you still running the o-tangs?

Yeah! I have the paris 180mm and Retro Freerides on it now! Rides like a dream drifter! I purchaced a swordfish and put my old randal 180mm and o-tangs on it, The swordfish is alot of fun in the garage.... it grips and gets it around the turns!

I got an update for you.
I've skate 6 of the last 7 days on tall this, flexy that, super carvy the other thing. Today, no skating. Worked this morning (ok, that meant I snuck in a bike ride) and spent the afternoon hamhocking a rack together. Got everything put away and cleaned up. It's dark and the wind died. aw hell, I should roll up and down the street a couple of times anyway.

My stickered up Flounder was sitting on the floor (no more room in the rack). We hit the street and it felt damn nice for a change!!

I was lubbin me some Flounder tonight. Thanks.

... almost sprained my finger due to speed wobble (Fusrodah)

... wheels need to be round to roll well. (aloysius)

... my haters are my motivators. (Ellen DeGeneres)
