Hi 'm new
I'm another own of those highschoolers who have seen enough of you collegers (you know who you are) looking like there having loads of fun on longboards while getting from point a to b, to make me want one of me' own.
I'm almost 14, A freshie in the big fishpond that is the school
One of the big questions to me is how people figure out which board to get, and will be asking loads of questions to that end.
I figure that is about enough about what I have to say.
I have been introduced.
I'd like to buy a superglider. If you've got one, and are willing to sell, PM me!

Hi, I'm New! I'm from the Philippines and I ride a dervish flex 2 and a kahuna creations board. Been skating since i was a kid with a few occasional breaks due to my commitment with my school's soccer team. I cruise, dance and the occasional bomb. You can really say longboarding in the Philippines is growing. Anyway, I'm planning on getting a loaded dancer with paris 180's, some reds, and the yellow stimulus wheels. What do you think guys?

Re: The Official "Hi, I'm New!" Thread
okay, im new as well. im hotdog. 16 years old from germany and i live in spain. skateboarded for the past 4 years but was never really into kickflips and other tricks, just used for cruising more or less. since my english friend build his first longboard and i had a ride on it i was pretty much amazed at the carving abilities. so went into the local skateboard shop and looked at the prices of longboards and thought to myself, these things are ####### expensive. well anyways, since i wanted one, im starting to build one. in a couple of days it will be ready. a simple, shorter dervish for getting past lots of beople quickly in the city. firstly equipt with skateboard trucks and some huge wheels from my freeboard. (70mm) seem big next to my 50mm skateboard wheels. well be posting some pics into the Young Builders threat and see what you guys think of it.
have fun,
hotdog.
good evening bitches.

Re: The Official "Hi, I'm New!" Thread
Hey everybody, I am fairly new to the longboarding community. My name is Steve and I am from Connecticut. I ride a Sector 9 Mundaka 46" with gullwing trucks, reds bearings and 75mm Lemon BigZigs. If anyone has some helpful hint about anything let me know please, I really want to get better at this amazing sport.
I skate because there's no Facespace, no Mybook, no Twatter, no eMail, no television, no commercials, no celebrities, no zillion dollar sports teams. No bulls--t whatsoever... It's just me, the pavement, one deck, two trucks, four bushings, four wheels, eight bearings, and some mounting hardware. My very own little race car, my own flight simulator, and it feels f--king great. ^^FlyKneeGrow^^

Re: The Official "Hi, I'm New!" Thread
Well, my other thread got closed, so I guess I'll post my intro here:
My name is Andrew, I'm 21 and live in good old Bend, OR. I haven't been longboarding long (started around March I think?) but am in love with it. I picked up a Sector 9 off Craig's List for $65 that was in almost new condition. It had the stock Pivot trucks and 62mm Sector 9 wheels.

I upgrade that with a set of green Randal 180's, Abec11 70mm ZigZags and Abec11 Biltin Bearings. I also just got a set of SunRisers.

When I got the new trucks and wheels, I bought a 35" TLS Basic and through the old stuff on it. Knowing I would never ride it like that, I bought a set of Gullwing Sidwinders for it and now it is an awesome board for parking lot riding. Don't have any pics of it though, but there there isn't much to see anyway.
Also thought I would add, I work for TheLongboardStore.com as a board assembler, packer and photographer. If you ordered a board from us in the last few months, I probably put it together.

Hey - I'm 18, and I live in R.I. Just recently bought my first board, the S9 Scarab. I literally mauled my ankle two days after ordering my board and haven't gotten the chance to shred on it yet. However, shred or be dead I can't wait to get to cruising.
