Hey, I'm Milo and live in the Pacific NW. I decided to start longboarding just before it started raining, and when it rains it doesn't stop for a while, so for now, I'm stuck inside with a balance board and in parking garages otherwise. I have to say that I wish I lived closer to OSU campus in Corvallis after riding there for a few days, that is a nice place to skate. Now I'm rambling...

Get the Derv. the descent is more of a w.e. board. i'm not a fan per say. but the Dervish is fantastic. everyone who has one loves it and it beats never summer out by a lot.

if you want a nose guard than go for it, theres no use for it really unless your going speeds that if your board hit a wall it would crack alot (which on a dervish i wouldnt see happening)

Turn on. Tune in. Drop out.

alright i gotta sector nine joel tudor bout 4 months ago. I can carve pretty well, do a lil cross-stepping, coleman slide and toeslide 180. i got to complain bout the board though cuz when i do a 180 im riding switch (thats not the problem) but the board has a kicktail and the trucks are not equal distance apart to the deck, there are fixed closer to the front of the board. which makes it hard to ride switch, i gotta spin the board back around.
I wanna get more into the sport in the slide and dance part. more sliding than dancing

what would be a good board for a novice , im not really a beginner ...but definitely not legit yet
thanks in advance to all in the community.

Hey, I'm Rhys. Skated a few years ago and have decided to take up longboarding with a mate. 16 from Australia.

I'm probably going to buy the Apex 37, any personal word before I do?

Hey I'm new to this forum but not new to longboarding. I have a hand made 60" pintail made by Davis Designs. I used to be able to find the link at Silverfish but no luck now. This is an awsome stick and I would like to get another one. Does any one have any beta on what happened to Davis Designs?

only if you are rude, say stupid things, and/or most importantly if you do not utilize the search function!

Well hi, nice to meet you guys.

I'm from Bristol, England... I like to longboard (obviously!) and ride a sector nine. Other things? I love surfing and painting... oh and skateboarding (the short version )

As you may be able to guess I'm rubbish at these introduction things, but hi all the same!

hey all, i'm new, but i've been lurking about for the past several months--sooo much good info here! i'm probably not your typical longboarder since i'm a 44 y/o woman! i saw a guy riding with his dog about 6 months ago, and thought, 'hell! that looks so fun--i could do that!!' been cruising around for about 6 months now, and i have the tightest calves of anyone i know--lol! i started out with some really crappy boards from the big box stores but returned all those and got a s9 sandwedge that ive been riding for months then a few days ago i got a pdp city crusher. such a difference between the two--it's like the wedge is an automatic, and the pdp is a stick shift! bombed a couple of hills in my neighborhood and really been getting crazy out there! now i have the crusher i want to learn how to use the tail, so any tips would be great! anyway, just wanted to say 'hey!'
