Hey! So i guess im new, my account is pretty old but i never really got into using the fish as a place to reference and learn until yesterday, then i saw this forum

Hi, Im new, I am 205ish pounds, 14 years old, about 19 pecent body fat, and have lots of muscle(and a good amount of fat too lol), I street skated from ages 7-12, and then took up vert, and blew out my knee, I was stuck with a knee injury, couldnt skate or excercise and got morbidly obeese, ive lost alot of my weight, got a decent knee brace, and decided to pick up skating again, I tried street skating, but my arsenal of tricks is gone, and it hurts my knee way to much to jump more then a 8 stair, and my favorite set is a 12 lol. I decided not to completely give up the new school boards simply for micro, mini, and vert ramp, and occasional bowl skating, but Ive always been intrested and loved the feel of long boarding. Ive decided I want to get into Longboarding, and mini long boarding, but, ive also decided to take up my dream of old school skating, since I was little, I always loved the skating of the late 70's and 80's, from freestyle to especially skating from powell, etc.(Bones brigade), animal chin is still my favorite skate video, so ive decided that im going to get a old school board and start bowl, ditch, and cruising with that, a mini board for getting too and from school, and a long board for cruising and carving. Nice to be here with you all, and sorry for the long intro lol.

Im Jared from Hawaii born there and still living there. I used to just skate board until I found out longboarding has so much possibilities and people seem to like it because its fun. The first longboard I ever got on was a S9 sunset and it was fun because it was the first board I ever used to bomb a hill. I now am awaiting for my Original Apex 34 with Lime Zigs and S8 trucks. Cant wait. =D

Im completely new to all of this and have no idea what im doing but I remember the first time i rode one, seriously it felt AMAZING. That inspired me and so did Lords of Dogtown, Im such a girl i know haha. Random Stuff I guess : I love playing my Takamine guitar, playing the piano, dancing, cheerleading, reading, and just kicking it at the beach. Im a happy go lucky type of gal!

Hi. I'm new and have ridden longboards off and on for 30 years. Yes, I'm an old f'r. The new stuff is so rad that I'm finally going to upgrade my Santa Monica Airlines board that I bought in the early 90's.

I'm Joseph and I just want to say hi to everyone here. I bought my first longboard about 3 days ago and now I'm hooked. I never ridden a skateboard/longboard in my entire life but I used to surf a lot. I bought a Sector 9 Ala Moana complete board and I don't why I haven't picked up this hobby sooner! It feels great cruising with this thing. Even sweeter with my 2 year old boxer pulling me around the neighborhood. I also purchased today one of MileHighMarks complete setup and can't wait to take her for a ride. I'll be giving my Sector 9 to my little brother as a Christmas present.

I also shoot long range rifle as hobby and reload my own ammo so If any of you shoot long range rifle hit me up. I live in Ft. Myers Florida.

Thanks guys, this is a great site and I have learned a lot the last two days I've been reading here.

Haha Just about the same. I just got me an Original Path37 like about 2 months ago. I've always liked skating it's just that I never made the full on decision to go Longboarding and It's been great to far. I've been doing some serious carving xD but gonna get me some Purple O-tangs Stimulus to start some more tech stuff like sliding and whatnot. I really hope I don't piss off people on these forums as I see some people are nit-picky about double posts, dbl threads etc. I'm not a complete noob with forums as I'm part of a huge gaming community called eGO Edge Gamers Organization and I hit up those forums pretty hard. My name is Jeff and I'm a student at Claremont McKenna. I've been skating for about three weeks. My first time on a longboard (4 weeks ago) I fell off, tore my meniscus and sprained my LCL. I'm making a speedy recovery and skating just about every day. I'm taking it super easy to keep my knee alive but I'm already getting addicted. Thats about it, love the sport!

I bought A sec 9 cuz I totaled my car and now I love to do it. About 2 months ago I started to bomb good sized hills and now I'm getting into free riding and sliding. Soon I'll be ditching my sec 9 and get a Landyacht Drop Speed, hopefully soon.
