Hey I'm Davey... I'm from the bay area... Discovery Bay, but since it's mostly flat out there and I only recently moved there I mostly ride in the Tri-Valley area while I'm there.
Right now, however, I'm at school in Azusa which has some pretty sweet hills and places to skate. I've got a sector 9 that was my first board that is our couch support for our broken futon and a loaded pintail.

Hi! I'm Michelle. I'm originally from central Jersey, but I'm currently riding and residing at Rowan University.

I'm somewhat new to longboarding, but I've been boarding for about a year. I learned to ride on a Kracked Skulls M1, but I've also ridden a Loaded Vanguard, Sector 9, and Ann Arbor. I don't have a board yet, but I'm looking into a Gravity or Kracked Skulls.
    My Quiver:
    - Gravity 42" mini-carve, Paris 150mm trucks, Abec 11 Flashbacks 70mm/78a wheels, Bones Red bearings

    My blog on longboarding: http://sidewalksurf.wordpress.com

Check it out - and feel free to contact me with possible tips, suggestions, or just to say hello. :)

Hey, I am John. I am from norcal - San Mateo but I go to school in San Diego.

I've recently started riding with chain gang and they take me to some nice ass garages. I hope to find some places up in norcal when I go home and ride with some of you guys. I've been boarding for about a year now and realized it is pretty damn fun going fast.

Right now I am just learning to skate only been on the board about two weeks. I want to learn how to race. I haven't mastered breaking yet. lols. I just jump off my board. I skate whenever I have time. I am going to a competition this weekend, but I'm not competing. I really enjoy longboarding. I'm about to take apart my board and try to put it back together.

this seems too good to be true. all the boards i ever wanted and only paying a third of the price. how can you do that?... this weekend my friend is letting me borrow his board to try it out and see what i think just to get a feel for long boarding. its a s9 bamboo series. so im looking forward to this weekend. i was talking to my friend and he said you need the right length. i was wondering if there is a ratio for height to board length ratio or some thing? im a tall (6'2'') skinny (155lbs) guy so what would a be a good board for me?

The completes they are selling must be utter crap components cause I started with a complete and then upgrade everything on a Loaded board and after I tweeked it with a nicer setup the price was 370+

Edit: yeah I just looked again and a Dervish complete is 168 and a Dervish board only is like 184...something is F***ed up!
    My Board:

    S8 trucks

Also there is no length ratio. Just get what feels right for you...and it depends on what you'll be doing with your board. If you are commuting and having to carry your board around alot when you are in shops or at school then you aren't going to want a 50" deck!

    Hi! Im new!

    I skate. Everywhere. Everything.
    I reside in Spokane, WA
I'm lucky because I live on the hilly side of the city. HA!
Currently I am shredding a Dervish flex 2, Randall 180s, Orangatang in heats, and reds.
I tend to hibernate during the winter, besides snowboarding, and tend to gain a little weight.
Which lead me to start sketching up plans for making my own longboard.
Its gonna be the shizzle. Well I hope so.
Ill post pics of the plans soon into some thread thats similar and you all should tell me what you think.
    So ya!
    Thats about it.

    Hey,

Totally a noob to the forum, and just getting into cruising and some downhill.
I just got my board, a Lush Makonga, and looking for some good spots to test it out in London, Uk.

Would love to meet up with some ppl in London who are down for some chill cruising, and possible some mentoring in the stopping factor.

    Cheers,
    Chris

    Hi,

First post on the forum. I'm William from Rhode Island and I'm itching to get back into longboarding & DH. I got into DH and luge back in the late 70's. I had been riding ramps and any place we could find vert back in Washington State. I got turned on to DH by a friend of a friend and got hooked. I made my own board out of a water ski. Cut the tip off where it started to turn up. Cleaned it up, flipped it over and mounted Trackers with Red Kryptonic 70's. I had a blast on that thing. Some crazy DH and luge runs....with no helmet or pads...what an idiot. Somtimes I'm surprised I'm still here. Anyway, I drifted out of LB's in the 80's and haven't been on one since. Now I have the itch to get back in. Things have changed a bit since then so I'm getting up to speed on the new tech. Any recommendations on good Speed boards for someone 6' 6" and a lean 255 - 260lbs would be appreciated.

Looking forward to learning a bit. Hope I can share something in the future.

    Thanks,
    William
