Default puting together my first board

So I Just bought a deck its a 40in 13ply birch with a wheel base of 29in. Its a roots style deck, very strong with a stiff flex. This is my first board and I will be using it as transport and for just crusin and carving, with some use on longer hills. I live in an area with quite a lot of roughish roads and I really want to have a smooth ride that I can give a push and I will end up cursing. I was thinking about a getting some softish wheels around 83a ish (maybe retro zig zags?), I also would like to get some good quality bearings so I can really cruise. As for trucks I don't really know allot but any input would be great (preferably something not super pricey). Any comments would be great this is my first board but I have ridden friends quite a bit and I just want to have a sick board to roll around on!

If you live around a area with rough roads I would get the softest wheels possible maybe Gumballs
I live on roughish roads too so I use a board with lots of flex to absorb most of the bumps.
Im not sure on trucks but I use Seismics
As for bearings maybe Bones Swiss or Bones Reds
    Hope I helped

Also you could try soft risers to lessen the vibrations from the road. And the bigger the wheels the easier it is to roll over loose stones etc.

I skate a super rough road quite often, its a sick road, tons of nice corners and the perfect gradiant but the roughness is the only lame thing about it coz when you bail its like a cheese grater! (just makes life more exciting).

I have ridden quite a few setups on it, but i find the best wheels i have ridden on it so far are gumballs, followed by Otang Inheat 80a's and Lime Big Zigs in 2nd equal. Anything more than 80a'ish seems to start really kicking the back out unexpectadly if you slap in a hard carve etc.

Whatever you do dont use super hard slide wheels on it. it was like an ice rink, but a rough, painful to crash on, icerink

Wouldn't it make sense to have a flexier board if your going to ride on bumpier roads? I'm knew and learning so correct me if I'm wrong. Same for wheels, wouldn't you want softer wheels like 75-78a?

Yea I would look at getting a wheel with less than 80 duro, and also get a decently flexy board, but something that will hold up bombing medium sized hills.
