Brand New DeeLite Nemesis cracked

Man, I was so stoked to finally get this thing gripped and set up last night. Took a few pics next to some large bamboo trees

and today was going to be the day to ride, but it's 96 degrees in Portland so I'm inside standing on the board waiting for it to cool off tonight. The board is popping and cracking and I'm thinking it's the hardware, so I do some deep knee bends and flex the board a little and Pop/ crack... more sounds that don't sound good. I get off and take a look see...

oh yeah, I put a little weight on it and you can really see the crack

this could have been an epic failure if I would have been riding it.

you can see on this side the ply's are separating

I'll contact Rayne tomorrow.

that sucks dude. i see this problem with lots of raynes. no board should do that, let alone one that costs $450 for the deck. i hope you get a full refund and then some.

My timeline did a little of this... But that's a flexy board so I kinda expected it over time.

Hope Rayne can sort things out for you.

Bummer dude, contact them ASAP! that deck is 450 and for it to snap like that, after you barley got it, thats bull, like that other guy said, hope you get a full refund, tell them you ate #### while riding it, so they feel more guilty

Thanks for the feedback. The bottom line is, defective goods are leaving Rayne headquarters. This is fact. This is truth. Anything else is opinion.

So I bought this board off ebay for $300, ( ebay # 120429300931 ) brand new, the guy had 2 to sell. Again, this doesn't matter as defective goods are leaving the Rayne Headquarters and/or defective goods are being stolen from reject inventory by workers???

Quality control issues are that defective boards are finding there way into the public and this spells lawsuit because of serious quality control issues.

I'm not a lawyer but I've been around the block and know heck of a lot when it comes to contributory negligence, express warranties of merchantibility and other product liabilities that can never be voided.

Board arrives via UPS on monday, my 3 different colors of grip tape arrive wednesday, I run up to some bamboo trees and take photos, then today I'm about to ride and ...

We will see if buying the board 3rd party voids any implied or express warrenty of merchantibility.

That sucks. If you do get another one get an all wood one. These guys seem to have problems just drilling truck holes straight so I don't think I'd trust them with something more complex like a foam core...

Either you sir are very fat or rayne really needs to get their #### together, because you are completely correct they've had quality control problems for a long time. It's a shame because they do make some great boards but $450 on a deck that you can ride for a day before is dies, I mean cmon?

besides that, it's even worse that it cracked before he rode it when he was just standing on it, as opposed to in some crash!!

I have been working out lately, and taking 5 grams creatine powder mixture now that summer is here. I've gone from 185lbs of flab to 190lbs of rock hard flab/muscle mix since May. Went from 7 girl push-ups to two sets of 30 regular push-ups, not to mention I'm also curling a 25 lbs barbell while I recover. Going slow on the down side. So yeah, I'm huge, but that shouldn't cause a stress crack in the nemesis like that.

I think it was a lemon. But it is obvious Rayne doesn't test each board. I would think they would test the $450 deelite models but hey, what do I know?

If this is happening to other deelite models, then the bend in the board should be in the fatter 10.25 inch section of the board like the back of kebbek's comishin (see pic) Why does rayne sell a board that hasn't been product tested?

Wait, that doesn't make sense, there is a bend on top. Well, that's why I don't make boards, just purchase them in good faith.

whilst rayne have had many qc issues highlighted on this forum, i have a feeling this is not the case here. i've read the whole thread, i started thinking, no way - still poor quality! but now i think you've taken a short cut and are paying the price.

you bought the board for a too good to be true price on ebay.

it's odd that it should pop up there, perhaps you should have asked them (rayne) what the story was?!
they may have warned you off and investigated.

if someone is taking the dross form rayne and selling it on ebay, i don't think it's rayne's fault, is it?

it looks like you bought a second - it could have been stolen from the rubbish, wherever.

contact eaby and tell them something is awry.
i say go for the seller, go for them like a mad bat.
