Perhaps the Landyachtz Drop Hammer?
Not really a kicktail though, but it is a dropthrough with more of a tail than a nub (nubs by the way work for me too on my Heist, just saying).
Sounds like he really wants a kicktail, but the tail on the Drop Hammer definitely looks good for kickturns.
About doing an ollie on a longboard, I think it's cool but a bit odd. With bigger wheels and bigger trucks, and generally a larger deck, the weight doesn't seem light enough to do a real good, healthy looking ollie. Perhaps small ollies that are kind of like hops to get up curbs perhaps.

For sure, here is a photo of mine. You can see the tail in the bottom right. It's not upturned but is enough for tricks if you need it.
I think everyone here has swayed him in the direction of just getting a flat dropthrough board. He was riding my sunset late last night, and he was commenting on how he maybe just doesn't need a kicktail. I don't know, we'll see what he ends up with. I'll let you know, and thanks for the input, I think he's going to end up getting the Eastside Dropkick.
Yeah as he continues to ride I dont think he'll need the kicktail
