I'm getting my friend into longboarding via letting him use my other board. He wants to get a board of his own, and he wants a dropthrough board, but he also wants his board to have a kick tail on it.

while wearing a piece of plastic and foam on your head of course.
Lots of drop-thru's have tails, for example the dervish has a tail And so does the hellcat and drop speed, they just arent that big. The tail doesnt need to be huge.

I know, he's a ###. He just likes to ride my element 36.5 deck, and it has a kicktail on both ends. However, he also likes to ride my S9 Sunset because it's low to the ground and waaaaay easier to push.
I think he's looking to ollie around and shit like that. Like a Ceviche or a Loaded Fish, if only they were dropthrough...
He laughed at the shove it in his ass comment though.
I am trying to help but why does he have to have both a kicktail and drop thru. Just pick one. It'll be a hell of a lot easier to find a board. There thats my help... Dont judge me

there already is a board like that.....eastside dropkick. makes one hell of a commuter and it ollies well. why sacrifice one thing for the other when you can have both?

How stable is it though, he might want to get into DH later on
the kicktail on the strike is pretty pointless, its hard to explain but the length of the board compared to the amount of leverage you get on the kick tail makes things like kickturning hard
nelson (nelson longboards) makes a board with a kick tail that he could make drop-thru.
Its about halfway down this page ~~~~~ Nelson Longboards ~~~~~

If that was the way I was going I'd ask to get it drop-flush if possible.

seeing as it's dropped through it's probably not bad.
Trust me, by the time you're 19 you'll have seen 1000 more things that you'd never have attempted at 14. High School and College open up a lot of doors (and legs).
I laugh so hard at how mature I thought I was at sixteen, and three more years from now I'll probably be laughing at how mature I think I am now. Leaps and bounds of life experiences are all about to pile onto you. Hang on and have fun. You're only a stupid teenager once.
