i was bombing a hill coming home today from a friends house and i took the corner really tight to avoid some gravel and suddenly right in front of me theres a bucket of fish skeletons oozing over the road... i swerved and ran through some juices but avoided the bucket/fish skeletons. I never stopped to check it out.

ran into a child once.

in my dad's truck. it was scary. he was ok though.

on my board, i ran over some gooey fresh dog poo on a bike path. my board completely stopped, and i kept going. It made me want to find a dog to kick.

one time in Barcelona i was riding with a big group. i was all the way in front and looking back, talking to my friends. one says" look out!" so i turn around and SPLAT end up like a loony tune against the hatch of a toyota. i pick myself up, prepare for the shjtstorm that should happen, and realize that there's 4 gorgeous girls sitting in the car, looking back at 12 guys on skateboards, and shjtting their pants. the light turns green and they blast away, and as they depart, we notice the huge dent my body left in the hatch.

on one hand, i saved myself from having to pay for repairs. on the other, i could have gotten a number...

I ran over a small terrier the other day.

I was skating in my friend's neighborhood, and this lady was walking her dog.
This dog was out of his mind barking at me. The lady stared coldly at me.
She didn't do much to restrain the dog, even though she had a leash. Eventually, she just let the leash loose, and the dog tried to attack me. However, he met my 81mm Bomb Hills.

Crazy ass dog.

I ran into a random flying plastic grocery bag.

It wrapped around my wheel completely, and I looked like a dumbass standing on the street corner picking bits of twisted up plastic from my wheel and axle.

i've ran into a boat.
true story: where i live is right on the water and you have to cross a bridge to get to the side of town where i live, and what happened was i was walking across the bridge and i swing a left, get on my board, and cruise down this dock that leads into the back packing lot of some shops and resteraunts. so i'm just gliding whatever and a family of tourists come out of a store and take the boardwalk by force, like all five of them walking the dock in a horizontal line. i figure that'll funnel so i can scoot by, but they don't move until the last second, and i miss the turn into the parking lot. i veer off into the water and land in the back of some fishing boat (empty thankfully) and it was low tide, so it was a good five feet from the dock.
never lost my board, so it's good

Seems hitting/Almost hitting dogs is a pretty common thing for skateboarders....

I myself was skating down a residential street a while back, went by a house with some lady and her insane dog. Well, to make a long story short, the dog exploded out of the yard and chased me at full speed down the road barking and snarling....I turn around and see him, jump off my board, pick it up and start swinging at the dogs head. The woman just stood there and watched as I and her dog fought in the street.

I managed to get the dog to leave me alone, then I proceeded to yell to the lady "Hey keep your ###### crazy dog on a leash or inside a fence like the local ordinance says and this #### wouldn't happen" then I left.

So yeah, I did almost hit a dog with my board, Just in self defense

strangest thing i've ever hit/near hit....

...probably an echidna...saw him(her, it...) at the last minute and was able to carve around him....went back checked it was off the road and safe etc....

for those of you who aren't australian....

As far as the hitting dogs happening its ridiculous how they constantly want to chase you

The owners don't try to move them in general they just think they have the right to snap at your feet its pathetic

I ran over an already ran over snake it made a crazy noise too

Ive also hit a tree (never try this) and just yesterday i came around a 90* corner low and drifting and my friend happened to be coasting on the other side he jumped off his board almost on top of me. i have to quickly push his board away to it didn't lock up my boards and then make sure he kept running in front of me (i got a terrible view of his ass) in the end we all made it out alive and laughed very hard good times longboarding.

oh and for the dog thing i had to hippie jump a leash spanning right where i was headed i didn't make it ad the wne just kept walking... great guy

i hit a stop sign once...slid right into it, thank god no one was around...i also somehow find a way to hit whoever im skating with at least once a sesh....
