At the end of a run before I started slowing down a vulture flew like 3 feet in front on me and then flew along side me like it was going to turn back and kick my a$$.

Had another herd cut across the road in front of me yesterday, but they were pretty far off and kept going. It sucks when the ducks migrate through, the bike paths and roads near the river get covered in duck crap, it will coat you and your board in duck ####. Lovely. Also, we had a really wet spring and the grasshopper population EXPLODED. The streets run green with fallen grasshoppers. The worst is when you're tucked, they jump in your face. The fact that they're bugs doesn't really bother me, but they hurt pretty good and the goo gets everywhere when you squish 'em.

Edit: and rabbits love to dart in front of you at the last second, the crazy bastards. I've had a couple 'race' me before, running alongside me before cutting the other direction.

I hit 2 slugs in one day. They make a mess and if you don't wipe them off right away they just dry and harden on to the bottom of your board. There's still a yellow spot on my griptape from when i stepped on one and stepped on my board.

A walmart employee.

Today at walmart I was riding a ripstick around that was out of the box. She walked right out of the aisle and I had to jump off so I didn't hit her. She made the most exaggerated gasp of shock I have ever heard. Then she mumbled under her breath, "sheeshyouscaredthecrapouttame."

Today was a good day

i almost hit two mountain goats in banff when they darted out in front of me at the last minute.

last weekend i was drafting george down morraine lake when he ran over a dead squirrel, sent it tumbling backwards towards me and then under my wheels. we had blood, guts and chunks of fur on our helmets and all over our boards.

I actually just barely learned how to ride a ripstick well. Tried once before when they first came out, didn't like it. I still don't like em that much.

I was bombing a hill one time and i didn't see an already dead raccoon and he f-ed me up lost control of the board and got alot of blood on me and the board, and the casual car that alwasy cuts you off I have hit as well.

Not on a skateboard, but on a bike going down a steep trail a deer jumped out of the woods and ran beside me all the way down. I could have reached out and touched the thing. I had never ridden on a trail so fast. At the bottom of the hill the trail split; that's where we parted ways and our story began. It's got to be the greatest expeience I've had on a bike.

not really strange but its a good story. me and my friend wanted to go some where to eat breakfest before school started so we grabbed our boards and went on the 10k trip to humptys. just as we were getting there, there was a road with a few school buses parked along it so i couldnt see down it. i ride into the road and low and behold a little red car slams into me, i go into the windshield and the ####er snaps my deck with his car wheel. i still got french toast out of it though
