paris/randals do what you describe very well. i would go with paris 180s due its better bushing seat

Re: NEW BUSTIN STRIKE DECK!!! help with my setup!
You need a lower degree baseplate to negate the bustin strikes wedging 50 degree plates on the strike feel like having our balls out in a blender. So a randal 42 or bear 40's. Or you can do something real fun and wild and try Indy 25s

grizzlies suck compared to randals in all aspects dude. the only way to make them good is with an elim bottom. Get randals.

one question... i jus found a old pair of paris 150s in my room, u think they would work for now? im anxious to give the new deck a try
150s will work with side set wheels. And randals are not superior in all aspects, bears with jimz feel great.

Re: NEW BUSTIN STRIKE DECK!!! help with my setup!
the paris 150's will work for now. when you get some cahs your gonna want some 180's. screw the grizzleys. i only use those for DH. my strike i have paris 180's with powerballs and its so slidy and grippy when i nneed it to be and i bomb on it a lot and it serves pretty well. if you don't want to get teh 42* randy baseplate for the 180 hangers you can dewedge thetrucks by putting think risers in the back side of the truck (the side facing the inside of the board) it works for me.

Hey, I have a Strike too. And no, it isn't necessary to have shock pads. Since the strike is drop-through, I had to cut my Paris risers in half to fit them. It just makes the ride a little softer, lower, and helps keep your trucks from digging into your deck. You also don't need washers either. They do help from keeping your nuts from biting too hard into the board, but you don't need them. I have Paris trucks on mine. If you get randals, you will get hardware bite and will need to screw the hardware on upside down.
Edit: Here's a review someone wrote about it. Go down near the bottom and you'll see the hardware bite issue.

You might get wheel bite depending on what wheel you use. Go with Randal 180's for the strike. I run the basic 50 degree baseplates without any problem. You won't regret getting Randals.
