Question Randall Help! 42 or 50 degrees?

So right now I have a Bustin Cigar longboard which I dont like cus of wheelbite, with some randals and 83a stimulus. Im thinking of buying a new board (Probably Landyachtz switch) and Im wondering how do I know which randals to get. When I bought my cigar the website only gave me the option of buying randalls but didnt tell me the Degrees like a lot of longboard sites do. When I check on stoked longboards i have the option of choosing which Randalls with what degrees i want. So my question is how do I know what degrees my trucks that I own are? Because I like them and dont wanna get the wrong ones for the next board i buy.

Setup the Switch with 42º Randals, 3/16" shock pads, and 83 Durians. If you like to drift or do stand-ups, it is an awesome setup. It is hard to find a Switch right now, they are really popular. I know Stoked has 7 on the way right now, and a few of them are already sold. I run Smokies on my Switch, they are definitely a good fit. The Bear 852's are a good truck on there too, flipping them changes the feel a lot. I have run all three. I have had the board for a while now, still my fav.

o cant believe I never thought of that! Thanks! Turns out i have the 42 degree randalls on my board. Generally is their a difference between 42 degrees and 50 degrees performance? is one more stable and one better for carving?

Sweet thanks for the help. I'll probably just get 1/4"' shock pads cus there easier to find and basically the same thing and I was also thinking the Durians like you mentioned. Turns out I do have the 42 degrees on my Bustin But im still gonna buy a complete so Ill be able to ride both boards without having to switch my trucks. Im jw is there a different feel with the 42s vs. the 50s? is one more stable while the other carves more? And btw I think Stoked looks like an awesome place to buy longboard stuff. There Switch complete is SO MUCH CHEAPER EVEN WITH MORE OPTIONS then Daddies and the longboard store

42 is generally regarded as the best all round truck randal make. I'm sure someone will dissagree, but if you like them, I'd stick with them. My fav is the Randal 35, but the next board I'm getting is gonna have randal 42s and I prefer them over my smokies which are like 5 times the price.

btw I use Daddies because they are 100% reliable, with shipping to Spain. I have tried other internet companies in the USA, with really bad results, one of my boards ended up in the Cayman Islands, instead of Canary Islands (Spain), and one didn't arrive at all. They may be a little more expensive, but they are reliable.

OT: +1 for Daddies. 100% reliable shipping to the Philippines as well

The 42º trucks will have a greater "lean to turn" ratio. Which translates into less twitch at speed and being able to push into standy's harder. 50º trucks are great carvers, but work well for DH on very long boards. It really depends on the deck and the rider as to which one you should pick. If you are used to 42's , stick with them.

If you don't know, get 50*.

So get 50 degree, you won't regret it.

2nd'd. Unless you plan on going 30+mph often go with 50* plates.
