Other Planet Looking for a Logo!

haha dont get me wrong i would much prefer the trucks, its just lots of people have problems shipping to australia. shorncliffe is where i live if you need to see on google maps

but after doing a pic i dont think it matters.... not the best thing ive ever seen.....

Here's my first shot. I still don't feel like any of the typefaces fit, but you can't go wrong with helvetica!

Also, i'll definitely be tweaking the colors, im experiencing a bug with windows 7, and its causing my colors to be brighter than they should be, so until I can get that worked out, just know that any triadic color set will work well with this mark. Also, I forgot about cymk to rgb conversion, because I forget things, so its way brighter than I planned.

EDIT: So I definitely just realized that the first one has the same type as orangatang, so thats out.

there's no hate here believe me, its just funny,

the guy is a graphic design student I'm sure he knows, its good design its just super corporate looking. The top logo almost looks like it could be for a snowboard brand but the bottom two are strictly gasoline.

This is something a kid put on one of his decks, and I always thought it was the sickest thing ever!

No real theme with this one, just trying to get away from the whole planet thing. Granted, I really like the name Other Planet, so it's hard for me not to incorporate it.

Yeah, that's pretty much my problem with them. I'm trying out something else, so maybe that'll look better. But its midterm week, so we'll see how it goes.

but i think the spotlight should fall on someone else this time around. plus im waaay too busy with other projects right now to enter a contest. lol i dont like half assing stuff. and if i eneter i would have to dedicate some time time to it that i dont have.

bad timing i guess.

but there are more than a few artists here on the fish with amazing talent, youve already seen from some. theres still a ton more out there. Feenix, SeanML, gearfire, and a ton more.

Just to keep it near the top so people dont have to search the entire thread ill reiterate the object and rules.

This is a competition to see who can design the the best logo for out new company. Submit entries via this thread or our fbook page. NO LIMIT TO ENTRIES! As we have a time constraint there will be a deadline of Friday the 13th(spooky huh)The winner will receive a set of our trucks.Rep will be given for all entries.
