Same here J, but i'm putting in my tech slide footy so whatever. Downhill alone is boring to watch (no offense to guys making downhill videos, you guys have much bigger balls than I do). So I put my tech sliding (what i'm better at) in there too. It's a healthy mix

Can you hold a slide around 180 degree hairpins?

You ask me that question as if its hard to do.............. "hold a slide around a 180 degree hairpin" its called drifting.....not difficult. I can also pre-drift very nicely heelside, and inconsistently toeside.....happy?

I think he meant coleman through a hairpin
basically slide go in backwards and slide back to regular as you exit
lot of fun

If that's what he meant: To be honest, never really tried it, I prefer to pre-drifting over 180's through a hairpin and 180ing out.

Re: Sk8trip Video Contest - ENTRY THREAD
I'm kinda lost hear. I just meant holding a near sideways slide (90 degrees) throughout an entire 180 degree hairpin turn. The coleman looks more like a speed check without doing a full pendulum. Or am I wrong?
By the way, it was merely a question if you could hold a continuous slide, it wasn't a rhetorical question meant to be an insult.

Yea you're talking about drifting. And I know what you mean, but doing a coleman can turn into a drift when you do a drawn out one through a turn. And i'm sorry that I assumed that you were being sarcastic, but yes I can do that (since you quoted me saying that downhill videos can be boring, I figured you were trying to take a shot at me).
What Jman is talking about is when you do a full 180 coleman and you go through the turn riding switch, and when you're done turning, you 180 back to regular. I'll try to get a video for ya
right at the end (3:02ish) he is going switch and he 180's back. It's a good video so i'd watch it through

Re: Sk8trip Video Contest - ENTRY THREAD
Alright well heres mine. Due to a terrible computer and no video editor, the quality ended up being pretty bad (but not unbearable) and the editings crap. Didn't get any sliding cuz i didnt feel like switching my trucks and wheels onto my other board. Although some people can, I can not slide on a dancer. But I had a lot of fun makin the vid so enjoy.
