Sk8Trip Video Contest

You have ridden the wheels, you have experienced the stoke…now it’s your time to showcase it in the first ever Sk8trip Video Contest! Downhill, ditches, freeriding, carving, park riding, big hills, small hills, you name it…..Anything that gets you stoked on riding...We want to see it!

Starting Today, November 9th we will begin accepting entries for the contest.

The contest will end on Monday, December 7th any videos sent in after this date will not be accepted. So get started!

The Contest Guidelines are simple:

1.) All riders in the video must wear a helmet.

2.) The video needs to be less than 6 minutes in length

3.) Use any of the Abec 11 / Retro / Pink / subLime me wheels in your video

Youtube, vimeo and any other embedded video player are suggested for the contest.

The videos will be rider judged on silverfish the week of December 7th!

Videos will be judged on style, stoke, creativity and unique skating abilities. The most important thing is to have fun!

To celebrate our first video contest we will be giving away a custom one of a kind Big Red X Carveboard made especially for this contest. It features the following high performance components:

does this mean you can only use the wheels listed? cause if so thats gay. I already got some sick footage but most of it without helmets

Just use color correction, computer graphics and trick photography to give the illusion that you're riding Chaput wheels.

It will be sad if someone wins by default just because the restricting rules eliminated so many great riders.
So much for promoting stoke. More like promoting sales.

yes i realise this, but why would chaput give you a prize of his gear if in the video he's going to use to PROMOTE his product....you aren't riding it?

more importantly, if you don't wanna use his gear- don't enter, leave the winnings to someone who wants them!

of course everyone wants to use that gear, its the best you can get. but its gay that you have to already have the gear to enter. it just restricts alot of the best riders. like for the original skateboards comps they never say "you have to ride an original" they just let you do your thing, and your outnumbered 10 to 1 by people who think the rules are gay.

Who said this winner's video will be used for product promotion?
They have plenty of riders that throw down more than the kids on sf.

Why is everyone acting like whiny little bitches? Chaput is handing out prizes up to 6th place and you complain that the only requirement is using his wheels when riding? You guys sound like bums sitting in a library complaining that you can't use your Wal-Mart skateboard for his contest.

It's a Sk8trip video you idiot!
Of course he wants to promote sales, and why wouldn't he? Skateboarding
has progressed because of Chris Chaputs love for the sport.
And as far as promoting stoke..... Chaput's middle name is stoke
and all of his companies are responsible for more stoke than you will ever
have in your sorry little life.
So, if all you want to do is complain about the contest then don't enter!!

I will be entering a video. So glad I own Strikers. It'll be a nice fusion of tech sliding and downhill/freeriding, just finished the intro (hardest part of my video to make b/c of the song) so i'm pretty happy. And the whole rule about the abec 11 products is annoying but hey you get a good prize if you win and it's their competition so they can do what they want, and i'm not pissed b/c I own and ride ABEC11.
