    Default Venom Eliminators... Cupped washers?

like the title says, do you use cupped washers on the bottom or no? I noticed they fit perfectly with cupped washers. I don't see a reason to use a flat washer with them on my Paris 180s since I can just go with no washer, but if I want extra resistance I tried cupped washers and it seems to work. What can you tell me about your experience with them?
(I didn't notice discussion about it in the Venom thread)

that would restrict an already restrictive bushing. though it could provide more rebound, but i doubt that because theres no room for the bushing to deform and compress.

i ran elims with flat washers and they really gave a progressive lean, i think a cupped washer would just limit the total turn of the truck.

My flat washers are just about the size of the actual base of the bottom bushing area on my truck so I'm not using them now since it doesn't make a difference. I noticed my Bear 852s came set up without bottom washers too so I am doing the same on my Paris. Just wanted to see if anyone is using cupped washers?

i dont even use a bottom bushing anymore, i figure fat bushings are large enough to provide enough restriction that a bottom isnt necessarily required. and im on indys now, which to my knowledge has a narrower baseplate than bears/paris/etc.

go with what you like though.

I am trying 90a Eliminators on the bottom with no washers. On the top rear I am using an 85a Eliminator. On the front top I am using an 85a barrel. Seems to feel great so far.

theres your answer. i ran 90a elims bottom and really enjoyed it. but i found that a softer radikal shape fits me better.

when I run elims I always run bottom flat washers to try to keep the hanger at the same angle.
    randal/paris/unflipped bear need 2
    flipped bear I use 3.

did you mean to say that you dont use a bottom washer?
how do you ride without a bottom bushing

if you use a cupped washer or bushing cup, what ever its called ,it will cut into the fatter part of the bushing due to the eliminator being stim shaped

Things line up perfectly. What are you talking about? The washer is no bigger than the size of the platform the bushing sits on. If you mean the pivot not lining up in the pivot cup, it's fine. No worse then when you flip the hangers. Have you seen Bear 852s? They come without a bottom washer as well.

but they work so much better properly aligned... I feel a noticeable difference in rebound and the smoothness of the turns when shimming the bushings to the proper height.

yup meant washer, no bottom bushing = no ride haha.

now im using a fat home made bushing (lime 80a radikal shape) and things line up fine. the bushing is a bit bigger than an elim + washer, but everything is working out.
