The trick is to put a layer of toilet paper on top of the water first. I figured that out freshmen year in the dorms. eeeesh.

There is this awesome hill that i like to bomb, but apparently its where the todlers like to play. I guess they dont understand "GET OUT OF THE WAY". So im there freaking dodgeing them like little bowling pins.

I'd have to say clueless pedestrians (usually ones who are texting) who are completely oblivious that someone's trying to board past them and walk right in the way at the last moment and you have to bail, and then they just kinda look at you all stupidly and then go back to texting like nothing happen.

Also, little things in the road that you either don't see or that look like you can roll over without any problems, and then BAM next second you're thrown off your board and kissing the dirt.

Also strong headwinds are annoying. But I'd have to agree with the guy who said he's never mad when he's boarding. Maybe annoyed, not mad.

For all those who complained about their sidewalk, you should see ours here in Australia. It's like they just decided to make a line with concrete blocks.

thats what gets me or when its a really buisy sidwalk and they just decide to stop right in the middle like douches and aget all hurt if you tell them somting or they get mad because your board mad e aloud sound when you pop it up

it messes with me that when im skating with a whole bunch of people and they see some street skaters skating a ledge or somthing and the get ass hurt and bring out the "oooh nooo their ruining it for the rest of us booo hooo hooo" speach

On my daily commute, I have one of these in a 90* turn. Wheels don't get good traction when cutting a sharp angles in narrow spaces.

I'm pretty much in agreement on the whole "do a kickflip" thing. I try not to be too annoyed with pedestrians, they all feel like they have a right to the sidewalk too and I'm sure very, very few of us are thinking about how we might be annoying a skateboarder every time we're walking with friends.

I also hate when people assume I'm some dumb punk vandal or something...I know I'm not allowed to skate certain places and when I'm told politely I'm not allowed to skate here I'm not exactly bothered because them's-the-rules, but when people react like "Hey you! Get Out of here!" Or some such, it's just a downer.
