Default Gullwing charger truck for carving

Hi, I am a beginner and I had a sector 9 sidewinder which is top mounted. My friends has a sector 9 joel tudor that has gullwing charger truck and he wants to exchanges it with me. For the sidewinder I can easily carve. My question is that can I carve as easily on the sec9 joel tudor that has a gullwing charger truck?

The other question: I want to increase the the wheel distance of my board that is 33" long. Do you think drilling other four holes (two back and two front) and move them apart is a good idea?

    Thanks a lot!

yes you can carve on them. with the right bushings you can get similar performance as the sidewinders.

if you make the wheelbase longer you will lose some of the nimbleness.

The Tuder (which model?) will carve deeply with the Chargers
. It is a matter of bushing selection.

The Chargers are a more stable truck design than the double pivot Sidewinders.

I didn't like Chargers. I prefer Paris trucks to be honest.

Paris aren't part of the equation...its Sidewinders vs. Chargers. on different decks..

    Wheels haven't been addressed.

i dont think wheels will be the issue, we are talking stock sector 9 boards, so its safe to assume the wheels are less than 83a with a decent contact patch, perfect for carving.

msy288 - for the hell of it just switch the trucks and give them a whirl, the worst thing that happens is you dont like it and you switch back right? that is if your buddy isnt a tool and wont trade back haha.
