When was your epiphany of the stoke? None of this.. "this could be fun" but more along the lines of really wanting to do this for a long long time. I ask only because I epiphanied while nailing my first pendy today, so i wanna know when you guys felt what I did. stoke.

After watching the first couple of longboarding vids on youtube in April.
"Oooh! I gotta do that."
I could see myself having fun in some form or fashion and ordered the first board and haven't looked back. Just new sparks of stoke with each minor improvement or skill whether riding or tinkering. Then there's always the sheer joy of a big truck with a new piece of my puzzle.

Met my first hill ever in the fall of '02. Speed wobbles the whole way down, ended up pulling it out and at the end of the day had the biggest grin a man could have

been stoked every since!!

It was when I first learned how to really throw my board around. Until I realized that you had to make the board your bitch I was just cruising around, carving nice and slow. Once I was actively turning/carving/pumping by using my legs and upper body I was HOOKED

When I was 8 my family took a trip to galveston, tx. I caught my first wave on a blow up alligator

, I was completely stoked! I lived in oklahoma.... so no way I could look forward to catching another one anytime soon.

So I took it to the concrete! Now I shape longboards for a living! still completely stoked!

as soon as i realized i could slap thick plastic pucks to some gloves and get sideways at speed. that really opened the door to what i was able to skate.
