Default longboard gear "pay it forward"

this prolly is not a new idea, but i was thinking of a thing where if you have gear you dont need say bushings, you could give the bushings to someone who needs them, and in return they would give some gear to someone else, and it goes on

so i have 4 soft bones bushings i might not need, that i would be willing to give away to someone who needs em

also, dont be a douche and #### up the system

DONT ASK FOR GEAR. THIS SYSTEM IS BASED OFF GENEROSITY, NOT GREED. Take what you need, give what you don't, balance it out and everyone leaves happy.

i love this idea but it could never happen in the greedy skateboard community. Besides, that would mean dozerdoggie would have to give away everything.

i think it could happen, like all the crap people have but cant sell, they could give it away, its good karma, and eventually you could get something out of it that you actually want

and im not talking big gear, just any random skateboard stuff you have that someone needs

    This actually works very well.

I try to support some of the neighborhood kids.

I reshape/refinish many decks that come my way, set up with soft bushings puts a smile on lots of little faces.

this #### should be done between friends that have met each other in real life. i'll give any one of my friends (face to face friends) extra skate gear in return for nothing, as long as they a) give it back when i need it, and b) skate with me.

    Like a longboard collective?

Would be sweet, but impractical online.

Would be a good event though, or an accompaniment to an event.

    [edit]
Actually, It could work if it was based on donations rather than trades, and there was a limit on what an individuals could take.

Pay for shipping, + like 3% for maintainance for the program.

i guess but i was thinking more of a way where you could have the other person pay shipping for things that require boxes, and they could send out stuff, but a collective would work nicely to i guess
