is sector 9 pushing or following
i am new to longboarding and silverfish, but have been totally hooked. Since i can't go surfing or snowboarding, this is my time for making good turns. i started on an arbor but quickly learned that there were better boards out there. after seeing some of the loaded videos i wanted to try one so bad. once my buddy got one i tried it and didn't want to give it back. so i saved up and bought a vanguard with some orangatangs and randles. I love that board so much i might marry it. i know that it is not a board for crazy downhill racing, but i carve hard, pump hard, and slide hard.
anyhow, my question is... i heard that louis polloni left loaded for sector nine. why would he leave a kick ass company with good product and good skaters? is he selling out or is sector nine a cool company. from what i have seen and heard sector nine is a step down from loaded. sector nine seems to be just following the industry that they started. they have not come up with anything evolutionary like companies such as landyachts, rayne, randel, abec 11 or loaded. they started the industry but now just follow. this is all i know from what i have found from looking #### up on the net. someone tell me different

not drunk yet. i don't think sector nine is that cool. i think it is the generic board that people get cause they don't know any better. but when heard louis was leaving loaded for sector nine i was blown away. why leave a company that supports shredding for a company that is for beginners

S9 is also a kick ass company with good products and good skaters. They're no worse than Loaded.
I heard that Pilloni had a fight with someone from Loaded/on the Loaded team or something like that. And I also heard that they gave him a nice contract (1.15m for 5 years, little over 200k per year).
All stuff I've heard, I have no clue if it's true or not.

S9 is no more a beginner company than Loaded is, and they "support shredding" just as much as Loaded.

Re: is sector 9 cool
They may be available in every zumiez and putting some local shops out of business, but that's the only problem I "kinda" have with them. Unlike loaded, they have a variety of boards, some of which are pretty gnar. It's not the same scene as landyachtz or rayne, so most of their stuff isn't designed to rip down massive hills...but unlike loaded, some of sector 9's boards can do that. The bullet/kommie/sunset are all killer hill boards. Loaded is overpriced in my opinion, and has a following of people that think they're supporting an indy company. Boards like the vanguard are great for what they are, but not much else. Same goes for the dancer and the dervish. They're sorta one trick ponies if you ask me, medium free-riding and carving.
If having sick videos of pro riders is enough to define a company as cool, then yes, Loaded is the bees knees. But if it's about the ride and the feel, I'll take a sector 9 over a loaded any day.
My opinion, just ride your board and if someone gives you #### over it just kick 'em in the nards.
FOR SALE:
Rayne Killswitch
Original Freeride 41

more likely a 1.5 thousand over 5 years rather than million. I mean seriously, lets get real here.
There is that kind of money in regular skateboarding. There is next to no money in longboarding. People that go kind of fast on a skateboard and can do stand up slides are not worth anywhere near 1.5million. The industry is way to small.

Re: is sector 9 cool
Sector 9 is cool in my book. I own loadeds, earthwings, bustins, and a few others. I recently got my first sector 9 and I'm very happy with it. The graphic is nice, the build seems solid and it feels great riding it. Sector 9 got a lot of people in to longboarding and I respect them for that.

Yes there is most definitely that much money in skateboarding, especially when a company the size of S9 is concerned.
The figure seems a bit high to me too, I'm just stating what I heard.
