    Default Cleaning grip tape?

I have a board with a clear grip tape, which looks good, however it gets dirty as hell after just one ride. Does anyone know the best method to clean the grip tape? Any help is much appreciated.

    I've used different techniques:

--the rubber eraser method: I bought a sanding/media cleaner from Rockler Woodworking for a dollar. It's a crepe rubber block about the diameter of a stick of butter but twice as long, and designed to be held against belt or disc sanders to clean accumulated wood/dust out of the sanding media. I just "scrub" the deck with that and it cleans everything pretty well. This does leave pills or rolls of used up rubber that I have to toss away.

--Soap and water: I used to just take a scrub brush and some soap from the carwash bucket to clean off the deck of my boards, and recently had to do the same thing to cleanse off some vomit... damn that guy... Anyway, you just wet the scrub brush with some soap, scrub around and rinse off. No need to take the board apart, just hold it up on end and don't spray down the bearings... drip dry, no heat.

the soap and water idea works, but i would take the wheels off. just in case. if you spray the bearings the could be trashed. Becides it takes like a minute to take off the wheels. and lets face it, i bet your bearings could use a cleaning
