That's a good lookin' board, nice setup, too!

Is that just an effect of light off the board, or are those Randals black?

    indeed a sweet looking boards.
I have yet to check out the skaterbuilts
Looks like your truck/wheel setup is a bit wide for the board though, I would throw some 150s on or swap the wheels for something more centerset personally, I absolutely hate footbite.
My first longboard injury came from the dreaded footbite:
first setup foolishly put 180s on my Cosmic 1 (allowed me to run it with no risers though). Took it for a spin to check out how my fast my new setup was, previous board was a aluminum Banzai board, hehe. Got up to about as fast as I could on the flats pushing and on the last push the foot hits the back wheel and basically big faceplant in front of a bunch of people coming out of church. That sure was fun, hehe
taught me to keep my setups more in line though.

Even back in the 70's I used a lot of riser. On that boardI have 5/8 inch. Plus the board has a massive concave. I had it out in the mall parking lot today no wheel bite. I like a real wide truck, much more stable and you can really lean into the turns. And yes the Randals are black with red base plates. I paint them with Krylon Fusion. Once the Krylon is dry you can paint details on with automotive touch up enamel.

I was actually referring to Footbite, when your foot hits the back wheel while pushing. If your setup is high and trucks wide you will get very little chance of wheelbite but the probability of footbite is much higher. Less of an issue when your doing hills and whatnot as there is not much pushing done on hills but it can be an embarrassing thing to fall on your ass while simply trying to push down the street, hehe
