its pretty cheap compare to the other boards out there... what is the catch?

I have seen these on many other websites but never heard anybody talk about them. It'll be cool if u guys can tell me about this board and their company..

Also, how are Gordon and Smith boards? I have never really heard much about those, but they are literally everywhere on ebay. Dirt cheap too.

for a really classic look you could also go with gfhurley longboards, the boards are beautiful, and supposedly perform just as well as they look

looks cool for the price. The site makes it sound cheesy though...

    features:
"G2 61 mm 78a wheels- nice & soft for carving (larger wheels on this skate will create wheel bite unless we customize the skate for you)"

whats with that? are they saying if we choose larger wheels we'll get wheelbite but if they choose larger wheels we wont?

O.P. making skateboards now? I think they should just stick to their clothes line. Just like BMW should stick to making their automobiles. G&S is a very old company. And they have awesome skateboards.

I bet Op has nothing to do with making them. They just want their logo on a longboard.

I'm sure the thing would handle some better carving with some bigger wheels. Wedge risers would help with both clearance and turning. Randals might work well too, although the w/b is a little short for my taste in Randal riding. Now we're talkin' too much cash for all the upgrades. If you like it the way it is, buy it.

Sometimes I buy completes with no intention of riding them the way they're set up, but with intentions to switch components around with other decks.

I no longer buy completes unless I can specify exactly what I want on one. Hi, I'm Aaron, and I'm a longboard snob. I like custom made decks from the US, and CNC decks from Canada.

I would imagine that the Op's are china made. Those G&S on Ebay are, I got the Retro rider 46" paid $89.00 for it shipped. It's flat a 12ply with kick tail. Way to narrow for me and no concave. I will be letting my stepson have it for hill bombing ( he cant wait). There is a lot better stuff out there for not much more money.

Is it just me? Or does anybody else think 33" isn't really a longboard?

I think the Ocean Pacific-branded decks are made in Santa Barbara, but it's a licensed name, etc... I have to say, the red/white striped one looks pretty good, and the "70's stripe) version does, too!

Those decks in the Gear Guyz ads are 2004 graphics, I think.

It is just you, or at least it's not me! It's the wheelbase that matters. A 30" popsicle stick has about a 13" w/b. This Op board has about a 24" w/b, which will make it more stable and a decent carver.
