WICKED decks. Have never heard a single bad word about them. And Graham (Rayne Guy) is a super cool dude. Get one.

I'm buying the vice ASAP.
I'd rather get a subsonic 40k, but I dont want to order cross border, too much of a pain.
They are mighty sick. I like the graphics, shapes and for the most part, the bends, so, yeah, Go rayne buddy.

I wanna get a Rayne Blunt.. maybe a Pug, too.

hey guys,
thanks for the good reviews. I'm sending out a box today with a Pug and a Timeline in it to the constorium to get some reviews.
In the SF area, Purple Skunk carries a few of our boards and http://www.ecboardco.com/ has boards in stock and should have them up on the web soon too.
Towards the end of the month we will have demonseeds and Vice's in stock followed by Forges, Hellcats and Chargers. All the new Forges, Hellcats and Chargers will have sublimated graphics!

Graham, I didn't realize that you were posting here. Dang.
I'm actually writing a Timeline review right now. Between all of my boards, this truly one of my favorites. Expect to see a review of it tomorrow or the day after. I'm almost done with the text, I just need to get home long enough to resize the pictures.
Graham, while I have your attention, have i said thanks yet for making such a wicked line of boards? If not, thanks man. You got it right when you made the Timeline. Oh, it seems to have just a hint (very small) of a "W" concave. is that true, or is the concave traditional upturned rails?

hey nick,
the W concave is a cool idea i've thought about quite a bit in the past year, but none of our currentl lineup has it. The Timeline/Forge/Pug all have variable concaves and offset cambers and that's where the easy pumping action comes from. The concaves are at their smallest under the camber and increase towards the trucks; they are there to help initiate and power into turns and carves while keeping the rear stable for tracking.

It's cool to see builders/shapers that think hard about their options in Camber and Concave to tune the ride their decks will give us!

i don't know why i'm posting this, you guys probably aren't interested in seeing my prototype carbon fiber demonseed with nomex honeycomb core and wood drop-through inserts.

Ha ha! Yeah, we're so disinterested that you should probably tell us all about what's behind this one. Why Nomex honeycomb? Is the idea to be really light, or really stiff, or WTF bro?! 8)

10 ply demonseeds weigh 2.75kg, the prototype weighs in at about 1.25kg. The prototype got it's inagural ride yesterday and the weight difference is very noticable; it is very nimble, easy to control during drifts and it initiates slides with less effort than the wood version. On the downside, it doesn't dampen to the same degree as the wood version, even little bumps in the road make it through the board to your feet.
Why Nomex? I brought in a number of core materials to start experimenting with, the carbon fiber version is the second board, and the first is shown below and used aluminum honeycomb. Besides, nomex is fireproof!
the carbon fiber version is torsionally much stiffer, but after the ride yesterday i'm not quite satisfied with how stiff it is lengthwise. It's still very rideable and i'm going to race on it in Nanaimo tomorrow to see how it holds up. I'm not sold on honeycombs yet; they're very lightweight, but because there is less bondable surface area than on a solid core material I'm not sure how long the board will live. Either way, it'll get ridden untill it dies. I still have a lot more experimentation to do this fall

Sweet boards. Loaded was developing a honeycomb board too, but I don't know how that is turning out. I think they were having problems because their boards are supposed to flex. But a honeycomb speed board seems like it would work pretty well.
I'm a man...I can change...if I have to...I guess.
