Default Best place to longboard on the East Coast

Hey guys I'm down here in Florida and my friends and I just started longboarding a couple months ago. We were thinking about making a bit of a road trip of north to board around any suggestions?

Keep in mind that we are from Florida, we have no hills! so we aren't used to going over 27 or 30 so don't send us out on some crazy run. We are just looking for something that is downhill for a long long time, because the runs that we have here are on average 5 minutes or so.

    Thanks,
    -Matt

East Coast has lots of good spots, although i don't think many people will tell you where the Gnarnia is until you've skated with some of us/built up some DH skill.

my suggestion would be to find some outlaws somewhat close to you, go meet some skaters, and get involved in the growth of the scene. Then we'll show you the good stuff

check out beast coast longboarding. i dont know how open people will be with telling strangers their spots, i know id skate it with you if it was my spot.

there seems to be a lot of races being organized on the east coast this year, it should be a great summer.

if you ever find yourself in new hampshire let me know, id be more than happy to share some spots

Don't know what part of FL you're in, but there's hills in Central and N. FL, starting around Lake Wales and north. When I lived in Orlando I used to bike out by Clearmont, great hills out there. Wish I longboarded back then. With the housing bust I'm sure there's some mostly empty subdivisions with nice pavement in them there hills to be found. If you don't mind a little traffic then just scout out some of the lightly traveled roads.

I'm going to college up at Florida State University in Tallahassee unfortunately most people here just skateboard it seems like my group is the only group that really longboards on a regular basis, but ya we arnt looking for races, just for a nice road that just goes and goes.

Thanks for the suggestions so far though, if any1 is in tally anytime just pm me
