Trevor Gibson's goal is to ride from Mexico to Canada, and now he's just days away from making it. He's probably staying in Tacoma tonight (July 3rd) and will be coming through Seattle on the 4th.
Trevors adventure is one of the coolest long distance rides "off record" so far. He's not affiliated with any charity, he's doing this for the RIDE. No support vehicles, photographers, press agents, or pit crew, and he's still making amazing mileage every day, with street and county maps and last minute tips from locals all along the way. Grassroots distance riding at its best.
If anyone's up for it, drop a line - let's coordinate and clock some miles with him, I'll be returning from vacation tonight and will check mails: pavedwave@comcast.net

man thats crazy! i wish i could find a way to skate with him, even though i proabably couldent keep up with him for even like 10 miles. i got plans for the 4th though. how far into canada is he going? i'm sure he'll get quite the welcome from the BC crew.
Re: longboarding mexico to canada-- almost there!!
Update! - Trevor's taking another day to chill in Centralia -- a really long-needed rest. So now it sounds more like he'll be coming through Seattle on the 5th. I may have to try squirrelling out of work a half day...
wilder, he's mainly pushing on an Ed Economy, it'll be interesting to ride along and not slow him down! I'm hoping to steer him over to some bike trails to take a break from the vehicle traffic.
PinTail PM me for info if you want, I'm sure he'll have a lot of stories to tell after this is over, I already learned a lot about the roadside conditions up CA, OR, and WA just talking with him the last few days.
Re: longboarding mexico to canada-- almost there!!
Here's the tentative route for later in the day on the 5th. Trevor's taking more time in Chehalis to recoup but hopes to get through Tacoma tomorrow by noon.
If he makes it with energy to spare, then we'll start somewhere around Federal Way up to North Seattle from 3 or 4 p.m. on the 5th (Weds) until dark -any local takers, drop in on the trail!
