When you guys are riding in your town or somwhere are there cars or people that wave or homk at you? Well they do that at my town, when me and my best bud are riding I saw this guy drive by and we could see his eyes stare at us and then sped up. People rev thier cars at us and say things like skateboards rule, sickness dude. We get a kick out of this but what is the best is when were on a sidewalk and thier is a boy/girl friends walking by and the girl pays attenyion at us instead of her bf. Afterwords we laugh so hard and think man were sooooo cool. Anyways, do people like you(longboarders) guys or do they think that your just a bunch of punk skateboarders?

lol its a mixed reaction for me...when I'm just cruising or carving alone I get lots of ####. Someone actually yelled at me to "get a job" once (I'm 17 =P). On the other hand...if I'm in full pads and full face helmet bombing a hill, I'm riding with a bunch of friends, or cruising through a downtownish area at night...or just doing anything impressive (like sliding) I get lots of smiles and friendly people. My personal favorite though is after school once I was out doing some sliding with my shirt off and I pulled this really nice 360 slide just as a bunch of girls in a jeep were passing by...that resulted in brake lights, smiles, and "compliments" haha

For me it depends what board I'm riding(!) The LBL 56 and humu get thumbs up and either (I remember those as a kid(the humu) or "that looks like a surfboard, it's cool!" for the 56er. But people dont make the distinction for the Landy DW or the S9 pintail, I guess because they look too similar to normal "SK8r punk" boards to the untrained eye.. Even though I'm much older/taller/more normal looking than your average 11-13 year old long emo haired black shirt and dark jeans etnies wearing tool. Sorry if I offended anyone..

Well obviously people are going to be nice to you if you live in California. People accept skating there.

I have had un opened cans of soda hurled at me from moving vehicles. Hows that for hospitality? Longboarders dont rule. We are just another nuisance in the street.

thinking back, its mostly negative from other people... ive witnessed ty get run off the road into the woods by some dumb b!tch... but then ive gotten people telling me right on, and have a blast...

some people are just assholes, and even though u obey the laws of the road like a bike they still get pissed just because they hate skateboards for some reason.

some jogger saw us the other day and said we f'ukin rock and keep it up so thats cool.

havent been getting a lot of attention fom pretty girls lately though... maybe my ass-grab tuck turns them away?

from people in vehicles, its usually negative, but if i ride past someone on the sidewalk, or i am holding my board at a bus stop, or im at school where people can actually see my board and who i am, they are usually really interested, especially in the "humungus" wheels
