Steve Hopper??

So, I sent steve an email last tuesday to inquire about some custom work getting done for a board I'd like to order from him. Gave him a call last friday to see if I could catch him in person. Nothing. And I'm not in any way impatient, however it seems unlike him (and anyone for that matter) to take almost a week to respond to a couple of questions. And I'm still not the slightest bit frustrated, no hurries and no worries. But I'm just making sure he's OK. Anyone know him, skate with him, etc in the Seattle area? Is he usually just really swamped? I can keep waiting, but wanted to make sure we know that nothing has happened to the masterful board crafter of Insect Flying Machines..

This is the conctact us info on the site. Says he tries to get back within 24 hours. So, has anything happened to him that we arent aware of? Or is the great mangled mess we call the internet playing tricks and not delivering my email?

i sent him and email and it was replied to in about 2 hours!!!! maybe hes on vacation or sumtin

Alright, maybe I should just try him again. Unfortunately it was a really long email, but no sweat as long as it was a cybergoof and not anything wrong on his end.

I'm here. Just super busy. I do still try to respond within 24 hours, but sometimes the volume of email and calls takes longer to get through. Also... the mail server at my ISP has been getting hit HARD with a spam attack over the past week so it's quite possible that your email got caught up in that mess. Others emails may have suffered the same fate. On Friday in particular I got hit with 700 spams in under an hour.

If you've sent me an email in the past few days and have not heard back from me yet, please send it again.

Talk about response time. Broken starts a thread at 3:11pm asking where Steve is, and by 3:44 - half an hour later - he responds in person. Yup. I think he's still here alright.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. And even better, as I'm responding there are 6 registered members viewing this thread. A little free PR for ya, Steve. And I really appreciate it and know the problems spam bring to us these days. But fortunately we've got it all taken care of, and as soon as I get my board in my hands, a full review and many pics will be available to all. Mad props to our buddy Steve!

Hey Ken.....Are you on Steve's payroll? You sure do talk it up alot about him and his stuff. Free Advertising at it's most exploitive I'd say.Dose he do the same for you for your Snowboard Shop? NO. What's the deal?

I'll agree that Steve offers great service. I've inquired about boards on a few occasions and he's been nothing but helpful. Great guy - great biz.

Steve's house is about 5 blocks from mine, so I stop by to irritate him now and then, but I don't work for him. I buy his decks just like anyone else, ride them hard, give him feedback, and he helps me tune my stuff. I don't own a snowboard shop. I don't own a business at all.

What's YOUR deal?
