    Default So stoked!

Figured I'd share this all with you. I've been struggling with cross-stepping for a while but I finally got it down today. Now I can't stop doing it. Sooo much fun!!! Sorry... Worthless post. I'm sure everyone knows how good it feels to finally have a trick down.

Nice. I just learned how to cross step about 3 days ago, and I was so happy. I'm glad to hear you're learning to dance.

Yeah. Need to get it goin real smooth but that'll come with time. As with all things that take time to develop you have to give yourself permission to suck lol.

You can do it on any board you so desire, it is just easier on a large board. I was trying to cross step for a long time on my friend's barfoot, and I recently bought myself a giant eastbilt blank, and the cross stepping is about a billion times easier. Good to hear you got a new trick in the bag!

Well let's put it this way. If adam squared can do it on a Humu it can be done on any board.

I don't know about that. I have seen Stikowsky cross step a colored pencil before.

Started out almost not carving at all. I just wanted to get the motion down. I really only started seriously carving when I tried it going a little faster. It's really sort of necessary to avoid bailing when you're going faster.

dudes, i have made exponential progress in the past 2 days...i got the carving motion down so much that even my uber stiff setup gets wheelbite, i got up the bawls to attempt a cross step (got halfway through and biffed it)...yeah, all it takes is getting over the nervousness
yes, an uber-grippy, square-lipped slalom wheel IS the best for sliding

What board are you learning on? I learned on my 35" pintail, so I think I would be decent at cross stepping on an OSD or something similar such as an eastbilt.

48x10 Vision cruiser deck...nice and wide...but i'd like to get some smaller wheels so i don't wheelbite so much whilst oot and aboot carving

There is plenty of room on a Kracked Skulls for cross-stepping. You could have a picnic on one.

I occasionally bust a cross step on my mummy, and i occasionally try and fall. I usually use my fibre flex for dancing and board walking stuff, I recently got into it after watching billions of adam colton vids.

I'm still working on my cross step. It's getting easier though.
