A gas powered micro turbine, for use in a remote control jet is going to set you back about $3500. Sorry to burst your bubble, but the rocket engines would be your best bet. I know for a fact that Estes brand, E size rockets come in packs of 3 for only $15.
well, thats not suprising. It was just a pipe dream I guess. I'd still like to look at a distributer of them though, if anyone has a link. But really, I just want to propell it without rigging anything to an axle or using the wheels at all. I guess maybe a higher powered RC prop? One or two perhaps? Stalkingbutler? You seem to be well versed in this area
hah, while you children are fiddling around with your little "rocket boads" and "jet engines", I've been busily constructing my first combustion powered "longboarder cannon" designed to launch me at up to 500 feet per second...
dont worry ill film it so you guys can laugh at my expense or be awed by my genius when the rig i designed during school works really well and i go speedin' down tha racetrack.
hey guys, how bouts the like proppellor thinys you can strap on your back, like the ones that you use with a parapente?? I think you could cath up some speed with those, and best thing is.... you can regulate you speed...... only problem... $$$$
i could never get steering down, so i ended up running the car on fishing line so it could go straight. it would only burn for about 4 seconds, but could go all the way up my block. first i used a gutted r/c car chassis. later i realized that cheaper toy cars would work fine and are even lighter.
But thats just a horizontal rocket on a fishing line, with plastic attatched.
