Default new trucks or new bushings- question from a newb

    Hey guys

I recently posted in the trucks forum about suggestions for new trucks for a used board I picked up. I am realizing that maybe I dont need new trucks, but just need new bushings.

There isnt any structural damage that I can see on the trucks, but the bushings look all worn down and deteriorated. Also, then I tighen and losen the bolt for the trucks, it doesnt seem to make much of a difference in the looseness of the truck. I guess this means the bushings are shot.

    Now, my questions..

How do you know if the trucks need to be replaced, and not just the bushings?
What bushings should I get (mostly flat street riding and sidewalk carving on a 46" sec9)?
Where can I find a step-by-step of how to replace bushings?

    Thanks!

Pics would help us help you, along with how much you weigh.

There's no real need to replace trucks unless they're damaged. But you might want to consider new trucks merely because the newer trucks ride better.

    I would recommend khiro bushings.
