Default I just had a revelation!

I started longboarding with one of my friend a few months ago, I decided not to slide because it looked like it added a lot more risk to the sport as well as a few additional costs (slide gloves and more wheels)

I was working today at my city's community centre when I decided to bust out my board and ride on the dance floor to relax a little.

In my last few shift I noticed that I can drift on the carpet if I try to take a deep turn at a certain speed.

Today I tried putting my hand down on the dance floor while turning (without glove), my wheels gently slided on the floor leaving a trail of pink urethane on the floor

    WOW

So thats what sliding is... I'm hooked

I have to do this again and take it to the streets

I need slide wheels and slide gloves

Do it, and if you wear pads you should come out if it pretty much scrape-free. Just stay low when entering your slides and during your slides, and you should never get chucked off the board.

Plus once you get some Colemans and toesides under control, it'll make all of your skating a whole lot SAFER, and it'll give you confidence. Good luck, have fun, and you now have a whole new aspect of skating to work on.
