I really enjoyed reading that. I always find it funny though when reporters try and explain sliding or carving.

That's cool. I love hearing about longboarding in public mediums such as this.

Oh and Xtreme Skating?! Haha. That cop just got laughed at. By me.

lol.."you are on Jesus' insurance". Overall the tone of the article is open minded - which is nice for a change.

That was a nice little article. And it answered a question that I've been wondering forever... Can you get a speeding ticket on a skateboard? I guess not.

Had that conversation with the chief of police in my town. He said in our town the key is that they are non-motorized vehicles. No speeding tickets for bicycles or roller-bladers either. In fact - if you were sliding down the road in a canoe faster than the speed limit they couldn't give you a speeding ticket.

i always enjoy seeing an article about skateboards/longboards that isn't stuffed full of negative stereotypes and the usual: rad! gnarly! tubular! etc. garbage that reporters seem to associate with any sort of "xtreme!" activity.

    toight, I like it.

I would love to see someone do that, especially in front of a cop, I think I might die laughing.

    we were skating tierra vista
i take it by 4and5 and 7and8 your talking about golf holes right? well i dont know the holes but tierra vista is the hill that goes from the main street and turns left and then right and it passes through two golf cart crossings.
if you take it from the very top and push you can hit like50 but because we didn't do any serious speedboarding for a couple of months we only went like 3/4 of the way and that gets 45 so its a pretty fast hill for its length

Great artical but yeah, im confused about why it's being ripped apart on the comments. Haha, I guess people just dont understand. Its funny I wonder how many people on that comment section actually go out into the real world and are 45 years old and crying cause they have no fun.

Are you surprised the article has its detractors?
Have The Majority ever understood skating?
    Would you want Them to?

Nice article. I wish my Mum had been that cool about supporting my skating.
