    Default Heating dangers?

Where I live right now temperatures have been in the high 90's lately, and I'm wondering whether or not its safe for my board to sit in a car trunk or back seat in that kind of heat, I keep thinking some part of it is going to melt somehow

I would think that it would be fine, maybe if it was extremely hot the board might delaminate, maybe.

It's more a drop/rise in moisture that you have to worry about.

It should be fine as long as it's not in the sun. Heat + Sun = Problems. It hits the 90's everyday here with extreme humidity, and a couple of my boards stay in the car all summer.

Steve C is right, wood doesnt react well at all to extreme temperature changes. Its less of a problem if the wood is in a steady climate whether it be cold or hot. Its the rapid temp. change that screws up wood. But i think you should be alright, i as well have kept my boards in my trunk during hot weather, and they have been fine. I wouldnt stress too much about it.
