Just to chime in on the voting as it gets close to ending. I believe there were only 3 entries in the original posting leading up to just days before it closed the first time - prior to the website crash - so it is good to see more had the opportunity to enter. Heyburt, thanks! I was surprised that more people didn't enter before the first deadline! Heck I'm surprised more didn't enter period. Who did enter before that first deadline? I think it was You, then Me, then who else?

I think the major suspicions from me atleast rose when you gained so many votes within about a half hour. Also I never said that I was against getting other people to join to vote for you. At the start I talked to Kai and he said to go for it and get as many people to join as possible. So I'm not against you there. I did suggest that maybe in future contest they should make it so new members couldn't vote but I agree that the organizers were trying to get some promotion.

On a lighter note your wakeboarding pics are pretty sweet, as well as the dancing in your video which i mention earlier.

Edit: While you didn't directly quote me. I know I have posted some thing which weren't very nice towards you. Sorry. Anyways. The way I feel is that it'll be fair in the end, and that they can check IP's and everything. Also even when i admitted I was suspicious of you, I still said I thought some of your video was cool.

I think people like schnetski02 is what this contest is all about. Its about making the board sport scene grow and have a bigger fanbase. He says he started a longboard club at his school, that is freakin' sweet. Even if he isn't the most skilled out of all the videos, he has many things that nobody else in this contest possesses: a passion for the sports, character, and a maturity level leaps and bounds above any others who slander his name. If I was Silverfish, I would be stoked that he is winning right now because he is publicizing this contest more than any other, and he offers much more to board sports than ability, even though his longboard skills are sick!

Well without asking everyone's life story no one has any idea what everyone else does in their actual lives. as far as trying to promote people to get more involved in board sports I know that Bluewoodboarder is really involved in trying to attract people into doing boardsports.

For the past three years he has been an snowboard instructor at our local mountain called Ski Bluewood and he tries to get as many people as possible to always come out on his boat and get the taste of the wakesurfing, and wakeboarding. He started to longboard this past year and has gotten many people to join him. He also started building longboards for his friends so that they could join him (on something other than a sector 9) .

He also attends our community college here and has started the first ski and snowboard club here at the school. After the snow season is over he is planning on starting a longboarding club for the spring and maybe even summer quarter.

As far as I am concerned everyone has helped out a little on the spreading of boardsports and it's not just one person who is doing all the work of getting people to try new things.
Bluweoodboarder as far as i am concerned has the energy and the wants to get people to get out of their box and try something new. Take me for example; he has gotten me to do things that I told myself I was never going to do. I have been a skiier for 11 years and in the past two years he has gotten me into snowboarding, wakeboarding, wakesurfing (which is the most amazing summer sport ever), and longboarding. In return I have gotten him to ski (once), but I still got him to do something that he said he was never going to do.

Anyways back to my point everyone has in one form or another carried on the energy in attracting people into joing in with the boardsports!

This simply put is a contest... If you want to win it, you have to have drive and determination... Nobody can expect to get voted for if they don't publicize themselves, and that's simply what schnetski02 is doing...

It is hard to capture pictures on Lake Michigan because the waves usually break farther off shore. Plus, its hard to get someone to take photographs when the winds are howling (lake waves are wind powered) and there is a foot of snow on the ground in Nov. When we are out there, the only way to stay warm is in the water, not sitting on the shore snapping pictures. Anyways, here is a photo of Schnetski's local surfing scene. (not schnetski but i've seen him out there) I thought people would like to see what kinda waves Lake MI can get, possibly check it out. Messy day, but we take what we can get!

I can understand why so many people are bent out of shape about schnetski's seemingly rigged voting, but as far as I can tell, it isn't. He goes to my college, I know of him through greek life and I've never heard anything negative about him. He's a decent guy who just knows how to contact those he knows. Small college, lots of people who know of you, you have a sense of community. People have responded to his interest in the sport and want to support his endeavors.

And yes, before I heard of his content, I had never visited Silverfish or any other similar website, but it has been something I've been interested in as a spectator for a few years. It's great to watch the talented people out there and see how they progress. For everyone who does this, I wish them well and encourage them to hone their skills whenever they can.

I guess all I can say is I'm sorry that some people view schnetski negatively because he worked his connections. I get it. Stay focused, keep doing what you do, and the result in interest will skyrocket.

I think that schnetski does deserve a prize. I mean, it takes much hard work, and dedication to manage almost 200 silverfish accounts, and even talk on them, while keeping the ''multiple personalities"
