    Default New York Skateshops...

Does anybody know good skateshops in New York City where I may find longboard and slalom stuffs??

I will be going to NY City at the of this month. I will stay in Manhattan for 2 days. I'm looking for skateshops in that area...

    Thank you.

I've e-mailed some friends in the area to see if they know of any. So if no one from the area that post here beat me to it I'll let you know what I find out. Hopefully I'll hear back from them by tomorrow.

Sorry to get your hopes up. Most my friends in NYC are shortboarders and couldn't tell me one shop that has longboards. Sorry.

The only place that I've seen with longboards in NYC is the huge Quicksilver store that's on Broadway by all the theaters. The rest of the shops are shortboards only

If you do happen to go to Quicksilver store (although I'll warn you its not a huge selection) there's a kicka$$ skate spot up a few blocks, its on like 38th or 37th street I think. Just look for the Beauty and the Beast theater, its right across the street. Its alot of fun. 8)

Oh, and if your going to be in Manhattan, I HIGHLY recomend checking out Brooklyn Banks. Huge concrete wave of brick banks, tons of fun on a longboard. Just try not to slam, or you'll smell like urine for the rest of the day.

There down the road away's from the ground zero site, just follow the signs for the brooklyn bridge. 8)

Well, I haven't been there in over a year, but Supreme was always shortboards only. Alot of the Zoo York crew used to hang out there.

I HIGHLY recomend checking out Brooklyn Banks
    'Fully and whole heartedly concur!!!
    You'll be glad you did.

A ton o' fun, LB friendly and all & all a cool spot. 'Just immediately clean and cover any open wounds. There is indeed a lot of nasty stuff around there...

    yeah brooklyn banks
one of the nyc spots i miss most

new york pipe dreams (http://www.newyorkpipedreams.com) has some longboard stuff.
was always staffed by non-longboarders who sold newbies famously bad set ups (slalom decks for downhilling...)

only marginally better than blades, but will always had more longboard accessories.

like everything else in NYC, not cheap
