i use telfords right now. the soles are kinda crap and shred off easily, so i slapped a rbros sole on there and now they rule!

Some Lakai's are good, some aren't. I got a set of the high tops and I fear footbraking in them at all... I was leaving trails of white rubber. Take a look at the sole and if it looks like either "foamy" rubber, or "plastic" rubber... Don't get em'.

Wouldn't a RBros sole fix that problem?

The Rogers Bro's footbrake soles are good, and definitely breathe new footbraking life into your shoes... but if you don't have a good sole (read: foot support) to start off with, I think you're in for some sore times. Maybe it's just me, but shoes with waffle soles or any shoe that doesn't have lots of support leaves my feet aching and sore.

if only using the rbros soles for skating on those shoes, theyd be great however walking around a lot in them will quickly start seperating them from the shoe..well with all the glues ive used to attach them at least.

I've had about three pairs of Lakais. They run small and they're best on a narrow foot. They make pool and park shoes, and the padding is on the light side unlike Fallen which are probably the fattest padded shoes I have. So I wear Lakais for DH and carving, and chubby shoes for pool and park stuff. The soles on the Lakais have all been sticky and footbraking is good in them. They take a while to wear down. The interior fabric (lining) seems to wear out before the soles do but I'm hard on shoes in general. When I find a pair I really like, I buy two so I wear them both out evenly. The last longer and stay drier.

I've been fine using Weldwood contact cement, have you tried it?

Yeah it really depends... I like the Kostons sole durability, while street skating is a disaster

Weldwood works well. Plumber's goop does too.
I need to order an RBros sole for my Adios, I'm about to kill through the sole if not and I love them too much to move on...

Lakais look like a solid shoe. I have a pair of carrol selects in my living room ( I need to send them, back because they were too small) and I really like them. I know vulcanized shoes aren't the best for footbraking but I need the vulc.

I've only had one pair of Lakai shoes, they sucked and tore up too easily. I haven't ever wanted to buy a pair of them since.
