On another side note, as to S9 being "degenerates." My bro Gordo called them a few months ago to ask about the Race deck. Their reply to him? They sent him one for free! Yeah, what a degenerate move, sending a free prototype to a guy who merely asked to buy one. Jerks!

S9..."the man", corporate sell-outs, perhaps...degenerates, I'm not so sure.

Alot of responsibility and corporate bullsh*t (like having to show how much they love the environment) come along with that type of growth. I'm sure they started out like alot of other shops...small and local, but when you get big and corporate these type of things happen.

Don't hate...just realize the reality of the situation. You'll lead a much happier existence...

Vegetative growth combats the problem with greenhouse gases we are currently in crisis with, so yes, they are promoting destruction of the natural fix for the man made problems. So lemme guess, you don't use urethane wheels? Or trucks that have been cast of molten metal? Or a deck that's been glued together? All of these things which take their own small toll on the environment. You are a sad case my friend. Acknowledge reality. Nothing we do as humans does not in some small way leave a foot print on the environment. All we can do is try to give something back and hope it balances out the toll we've taken. For S9 to go completely green (or any board manufacturer for that matter) they would have to cease production altogether. So let's all be happy that they are doing anything at all to give something back.

Now I will go enjoy my afternoon swimming in my empty pool full of evil $$$. Muwhohahahaha...

LETS GO GREEN.....sounds great till you realize its just the trendy thing to do and there just making money off the fade. So even if s9 at one point was a great company and got alot of people into longboarding good grand great. who gives a ####. Today there a bunch of whores. Even if it wasn’t s9 that went there its was there riders they still posted the story and decided as a company to associate themselves with a bunch of backwater ignorant dicks. "they sang the devil is my friend" 5 times" WTF the ignorance in that speaks for itself.

#### s9, but the sad part is that your right it will stand the test of time. Why, because most ignorant ####s wont stand up for there own beliefs and just not support and company as crooked as this.

yeah, they are using the whole "go green" thing to help endorse themselves, but i do like their boards as a first board, plus since we are on the topic i just gotta say it. anyone seen the esurance commercials? how they say they help the environment by not using paper contracts... now that usually makes me a bit annoyed

I have an S9, first deck and it was affordable. That was the main attraction - wide selection of decks at a fair price. Did the environment suffer from it's creation? Yeah, it did. It also suffers every day when thousands of people travel to and from work alone in giant gas gulping urban assault vehicles meant to seat 12.

I do like to think that the amount of pollution created by my deck being pressed and painted pales in comparison to the amount of pollution that travel via a car would have been involved with.

Also, the amount of people with very poor grammar and spelling disappoints me.
Had to be said.

While sector 9 is the most well-known brand of longboards, hardcore longboards or longboards that even halfway know what they're talking about (the one's on the fish), are lossing more and more respect for them every day, i know i am.

In your scenario of a perfect world, no one could sustain themselves selling just boards, lest they become "sell outs." Think about this, Brian from Earthwing just quit his day job this year after making boards for 9 years! That's almost a decade! So what, now he's going to be a sell out too because he wants to expand and be successful, live the dream and make boards for a living? I think it's every small time board builders dream to have a business solely based on skating and be able to reap a living from it. People like you who think they are part of some exclusive community pour poison in peoples ears about any company that has expanded and become self sustaining. S9 was one of the first, so naturally in your eyes, they suck right? Forget about the money they've put back into skating. The sponsorships, the swag to give away at contests. Allowing skaters to be sponsored and skate for a living. Yup, forget all that, all that matters is that you met them at a trade show and decided they were "degenerates." The joke is, you've said it multiple times and haven't even said why they are degenerates! With the mouth on you and the name calling and now threats, guess what?
