So get this... my girlfriend has been riding my longboard and she says she actually wants to buy one herself and go riding with me. Hottest thing you have ever heard, right? Her only specifications is that she wants a purple one longer than 30' and shorter than 45'. Mine is 42 so in that range or a tad shorter would be nice Do you guys know of any purple decks that are still decent?

Haha, it really is. My girlfriend went and bought a semi-used Vanguard off Craigslist and goes skating with me when we get time together. She gets all excited in the mornings when it's dry and sunny out, asks me if we can go longboarding later.
o leigh I did that a few mths ago, yeah i really like too, it has some bottom scratchs now so I`ll have to re vanish it again soon, its just purple acrylic paint mixed with varnish, 3 coats. so easy to do.

wow, that is easy. i might do mine green to go with my flywheels. and of course the "KRUST Racing" logo. lol
that would be pretty damn cool, but i'm not sure how i'd do it.

Loki, haha that is a little TOO purple. Im talking just a nice solid purple color on it would be nice. I would even settle with a print on it that is mostly purple. I am already working something out with Austin, finding the hardware is proving to be just as tough. Ill keep you all posted.
Find the board you like, then worry about color. You can sand anything down and work with it. If you do wind up needing to paint it I would suggest a stain rather than a paint. The stain give more character to the board and bring out the grain as opposed to a flat purple surface.

haha. My girlfriend and I just pressed her board last weekend. Its a 35" pintail and she wants it stained dark brown with pink graffiti and we bought her some pink seven o's
I belive Lowes has some purple stain of some sort that they can mix. just buy/build a board, sand it down and stain it.

I was thinking about that. Getting a board without anything on it and sanding and staining it. But I figure Im not anywhere near home right now, and it would probably cost more to buy the board, sand paper, stain, and epoxy than it would to just have Austin build me one. Plus, I know how bad I am at finishing projects.
