Re: post your latest purchase
just ordered the oqo 2+ for taking around to class with me.
here is the sikkest part for all you tech guys, its a 2.0ghz, 2 gb ram, 120gb hdd, oled screen, all packed under a 5" touch screen and full keyboard.
So I traveled in a wagon with George W. Bush, Dick Cheaney, John Ashcroft, and Condoleezza Rice. During the journey, the group encountered a case of cholera, a broken arm, two wagon fires, one fever. Condoleezza Rice got fleas and died, but that's because she was having relations with the oxen. Dick Cheaney got bitten by a snake. Ashcroft - he ended up dying of dysentery. and bush got killed by indians. but thats the Oregon Trail for you.

Almost had to force my (MHS) bearings on, but not--it was perfect, and none of that tiny play you take for granted with other hangers.
Mark, is Ace quietly making non-precision trucks with precision spec axles??

Good to hear.. and at the prices they ask, very much a plus!

You are correct. The axle OD on Ace trucks is much closer to the mythical 8mm than nearly every other cast truck I've encountered (with the exception of Crail).

I hope I did ok.
Can someone point me in the direction of some good grip tape to buy? Preferably in sheets. And a skateboard tool?
personally for griptape I like to use Jessup, it works and every skate shop in my area carries it, and as far as a tool goes, I have a unit tool, they're cheap and reliable but really any tool will do, it just depends on how much you're willing to spend, but have fun with your new board

I just ordered this (10 inches x 47 inches)
Jessup Griptape 10" Inch Width
And this:
Project Skate Tool
From Daddies. Free shipping.
I just need to figure out how to apply the tape and assemble the board. Then comes the fun part, not dying while learning to ride.

good luck and have fun, if you have any problems, just do what I did and use the internet to search for how to assemble a board and how to apply griptape, and btw, nice tool, looks like its even got a bottle opener on it

Thanks a lot man. And yeah, the bottle opener will come in handy when I go and get a ye olde rootbeer to put on my bruised face. Haha.
About shoes, I have a pair of 'The Kid 2', by Duff, are they suitable skateboarding shoes? They're flat.
