Autodesk gave me a free copy of Showcase and my school gave me Inventor...
But if they weren't free I'd never touch the damn things.
Between Rhino, Solidworks and Modo (becoming a serious favorite... Gotta get 401) I get all my work done relatively cheap, and fast.
Also thank god for being a student.

I guess I can see the necessity on an Architectural scale though...
