its all up to opinion. precise bushing seat vs sphericals, ride height, specific angle of the baseplate, top mount vs drop through vs drop

That's fine, you have your intrigues, I have mine. I'm not striving to be perfectly correct, or to be a respected internet skateboarder. I ride my skateboard. Obviously precisions are not perfect. Is anything? I didn't come up with the name "precisions" or the misnomer "precise." I just use the terms. Just like you and I both used the term "slop" to vaguely describe that concept in short. So, from now on I'll say "more precise," or "almost precise," if you wish. All I know is that I prefer the feeling of nearly precise trucks to the "not-even-close to being precise cast trucks" that you seem to prefer. Hey, I'm really not here to argue, I'd rather advise at inquiry, and you seem to be antagonizing what is widely understood. Sorry if this offends you.

Re: post your latest purchase
Bottom line, you said this:
You could get a Dee-lite hellcat with Randals for $450, or a Regular Hellcat with Aeras for $450. They would weigh practically the same amount, and you'd have the functionality of precisions over Randals.
Essentially you are saying for the money, it's better to get a set of cnc'd trucks and a regular wood/bamboo/wood blend/ deck. You used the term functionality regarding "precision" trucks. I disagree with you 100%. Now, I've owned cnc'd trucks before, and sold my last set a few months back. What they offered was not precision per say, it was a hanger/axle width greater than any cast truck, 10mm axles and a bushing seat that was in line with the axle. All things I couldn't get with a cast truck. But to say they offered functionality is not true. They had one function, sticking corners like I was riding on rails. That's what they were good for...they certainly didn't make going in a straight line any...straighter. Nor did they make me feel any more stable. But they were very low, very strong and sticky as all hell.

You're being totally ignorant to my implications, and making invalid assumptions. I didn't say it was "better" to do anything. I used the term functionality exactly like this: " and you'd have the functionality of a precision truck." You are so clearly mistaking the word functionality (in terms of the characteristics of the noun of the sentence,) with the word versatility. As far as you getting precision trucks because they offered a width wider than any cast truck--I can't relate to that. I'd rather buy precisions that are 185mm than 200mm. 10mm axles are overkill IMO, and axles in line with the center of the bushing seat is one of the characteristics that I was talking about when I said "functionality of precisions." You sir need to ride more precisions before making such generalizations. Because, personally, I prefer precision hangers on 50/40* setups without sphericals, and 3/16" or deeper bushing seat. My preference perfectly contradicts your generalization. The turn to lean ratio is pretty much the same as any cast setup that someone would use for speedboarding (not 35*/35*) and the lack of spherical makes them drift just as well as any cast truck with the same pivot angles. The deep seat without a doubt adds stability (as does the lack of slop.) Now please can we desist from all this inane posturing?

That being said, of course you implied one was better than the other. All I did was make a point that better for you is not for every one. Now put your e #### away, stop with the passive aggressive #### and implying I need to ride more trucks ect. I've skated longer than you've been alive! Heh.
I understand where you're coming from. It was all on the topic of speedboards and precisions, so I was implying that although the precision setup I mentioned was not best for everyone, it was best for those who should be considering those products. You might disagree, but you can't argue with the fact that all the best racers in the world ride precision trucks. That's definitely not why I ride them, but it is pure justification. I'm done with this topic. Sorry if I offended you, it was not intended, I just felt as if you are antagonizing my post from the beginning, and the post was full of validity.
I'm ready to be friends now if you'd like.
I love how I made a bunch of valid points and stated factual information, and you negative repped me for it. That's silverfish for you.

Yeah, there are plenty of top riders that don't. Pilloni rides Paris or Randals on pretty much all of his setups that I've seen. Mercado rides Indies. There are plenty of people that prefer cast trucks, or at least don't see the need for cnc'd trucks.
Those that do will probably be the ones who are really into having complete control over how their board rides and feel like they need expensive trucks to get that.
