well 2 of the aeras have yellow venom elims. i cant tell what the bottom busings are, but i tried a yellow venom elim on top and it felt squirly to me at speed when i moved my foot around, and i'm 115lbs. you're probably in the 160-180 range, so that looks more like a freeriding/cruising setup. plus the other set has green elims on top. just sayin.

with me i was just going down a garage, there was no impact or anything of the sort.

maybe the wedging from the evo added something to it...

Dave Cindrich (Sandwich) still makes the old ones and you can order them whenever you want from him.

I think it's just the fact that the way we both had our trucks mounted makes the pivot cup an incredibly weak point in the Randal baseplate design. There's no board out in front of the baseplate to take the hit and unlike Paris plates there's no extra aluminum supporting it either. All in all, as long as it doesn't break while I'm riding it I'd rather replace the $12 baseplate than the $160 deck.

Who f*&%king cares. It's his money, he can spend it how he wants. Not only that, but he's supporting awesome smaller builders like Rus. Without people like Mark or Dozer or any number of other guys here who put some real money into supporting this small niche of skateboarding, there just may not be as many cool things out there for us to drool over.
