to be honest, its not as good at the 07 DS. The wheel wells are waaay to small. The flywheels bite whereas the old DS could fit 90mm Flys easily. It doesn't feel as lively as the 07 DS but i cant really tell you why. I do like it for speed though. The concave works well for what its suppose to do.
I bought the 08 DS looking for an upgraded 07 DS but i ended up with something completely different, mostly in a bad way.
Really? I have nothing but good things to say about the 08. I have never gotten wheelbite with my 1052 bears jimz bushings and 83 flys. It could be a weight thing however...I weigh 170. I ride it loose, but not crazy loose. Fantastic freeride board and is very fun for standup slides.

Its probably b/c we are riding it on different angles. My wheels are much closer to the deck. I haven't ridden the deck with carving trucks yet though. That could be the secret.
