both 70 mm, both offset hub,both 53 mm,depth same.
as you can see allot of similarities in these wheels, what is the difference between 77a reflex and 78a,besides being 1a ..would anyone really notice a difference in these 2 wheels.
dperjar: jimz bushings are meant to ride like a loose truck and still have stability, they do not have a lot of rebound, personaly i think this is good in a dh bushing. if you have a lot of rebound, it is like having a flexy board, it just isnt good at high speeds. so i like them, i also like holey bushings for carving, but i have not tried venoms so i cant say about that, but a lot of very reputable people do like them
with the 42s just be a little bit more stable and look a little turning ability?
Would mix and matching them on a board be a good idea
I like to cruse and downhill but nothing too crazy...

definitly mix and match them, playing with this stuff is the best way to find out what works best for you. though, i suggest never having a bigger degree in the back than the front. So if you are doing 50/42, make sure the 50 is in front, but try out 50/50 50/42 42/42 and it will give you different turning ability right accross. but you might really like a 50/42 for cruisin, i like how it turns a lot with 50/35 for even cruisin, just have to keep your trucks loose
So its itching me. I've ridden paris, gullwing, holey, randall, tracker Rt-X/s, Bennet, and Indy's
Question 1: Why do reverse kingpins seem so simliar and vertical kingpin trucks seem so different. - Paris, gullwing, holey and randal are almost all the exact same degree, a bennet and indi for instance are completely different geometry, this would be like comparing a holey to a randal dh, those also will act completely different.
Question 2: What is the physics behind why reverse kingpins "don't get speed wobbles"? - they still get speed wobble, but the bumps in the road are not as easily translated into a turn, as they are with the bushings strait up and down inline with how the road vibration would hit the trucks
Question 3: Pictures of my board =D
So if you'd answer that, that'd be great
I think question 3 wasn't really a question .. you get the idea =D
^ like 2 lonely testicles
Question 4: You (wanna) making anything REALLY weird that I might wanna buy(or fund)? - foam/wood core, carbon, flush mounted boxcar???
Question 5: How did that guy have s*x on a kebbek? I'd expect that the grip tape would hurt his/her stuff - get some good caluses built up first, then you are grip tape proof, just rub up on some grip tape a little each day and you will get there.
Question 6: Should i get a dervish? (<-- this 1 is a joke)
not with the board you have coming, i have no idea what you would even use a dervish for after you have this board
Question 7: Why am i askign so many pointless question?
Homework does this to people, it makes them want to do something else, the reason i failed out of school and just started working instead and definitly didnt bother with college. I think there are more down sides to education then up sides, and working is better education, at least it was for me.. but please dont disprove this with all my major spelling errors in this response

What would be good specs for a rain board. Something that I can ride through puddles and not have to disassemble and clean right after I get home. I feel that my current board will get water-logged...

jwmcw - a hellcat, thats what i think, with the construction they use, the bottom wont get scratched to the wood very easily, so you dont have to wory about water getting in that way, its long enough to be stable, short enough to be turny, and wheel cutouts, so you can ride 85mm haugs (which make great rain wheels) I would suggest coating the whole thing in poly acrylic just for good measure and if you ever scrape down to the wood, then re coat it, that would work great. Run Mini logos so you dont care if they sieze up, and put 3-1 oil in before and after skating.
thats what I would do, and pretty close to what I do, with a different board choice, but thats just becuase I like to ride my boards best

Aha! I would ride my own too if the wood shop at the college was not closed this year...
I am 6'4, it the Hellcat long enough for someone of my stature?
Also, how are the LY rain wheels (the ones with the grooves cut out on the face of the wheel), worth it, or just go with hawgs?

jwmcw: the hellcat may feel a little short for a dh board, it did to me, i like my dh boards around 42 inches, but how often are you all out tucking in the rain? I think it would feel just great in the rain. I have not riden the landy rain wheels, i got some hawgs and cut grooves in myself, and they are one great rain wheel that way, so i would assume that the ones they made would just be that much better, slides nice, but most importatly, you can hook back up with them.
one other board though is the Never Summer stuff. They are all completely water proof, but i have not ridden any of their new boards that have wheel cut outs, just the pintail one, and its is great, i just cant put those big rain wheels on it, but you never have to worry about anything as far as water goes with one of those. and I think one of their new drop through boards in around 42 inches if I remember right
why did silverfish become such a huge hangout for teenagers?

you think i wanted to see you get away with it? you were everything i was and everything i wanted to be, everything we'd all like to be. now that we know better, we don't take the chances, we know sooner or later it always catches up with you.
speedfiend: cause longboarding and the internet became huge hangouts for teenagers, and sf is much "softer" than other forums that would eat the teenage longboarders for lunch. And this new wave of longboarders that have never skateboarded, and dont understand skateboard culter, and have taken up longboardering because they don't have to get hurt to do it, as you do in other types of skateboarding. this is a place that really does cater to that sort of person. just look at it.. many of the people that have the normal skater mind frame of skate and destroy have either been banned or frowned appon when they act that way. This makes sf have the nice soft fluffy, laid back, Nearly frat boy, type of place to hang out, which is what longboarding is to the vast majority of people that do it out there. The aggressive longboarder is by far the minority, just as we see here on sf. its a good reflectoin I think of the industry. for better or worse.. that depends on your perspective
texasbomber: I see your wifes point of view, but I wouldnt do it with my kids, especialy if it is because they want to see you naked. Its a different story if you are at a gym with your son and he sees you naked in the locker room, thats normal and no big deal, but your situation would have been feeling a little weird too. The only one that gets to see me naked just becaues they want to see me naked is my wife
i think the reason reverse kingpin trucks are more stable is because the bushings are between the axle and the pivot cup. putting more pressure on them.

Bucks: yes and no... 90% of them are fun and i enjoy asking questions to help them along, its the other 10% that dont want to work for anything that completely drive me baty... but that is the problem i have with sociaty in general, and you can rest assured that those that just want everything handed to them, and dont want to work for anything also will not be skating in 6 months or so
spleshspecklestake: you have to start your own thread to voice your opinion, they are asking me
