So a sad thing recently happened. Adam Colton finally took down "Whoisadamcolton.com" the site where he and Adam S. posted their original videos of boardwalking and dancing. I don't know about you guys but I absolutely loved that site and I am sad to see it is no longer maintained. In fact until recently you could still access all their vids, trick tips, and info. It also had updates as to what the adams were up to wether it be skating across the country or testing a new deck. Anyway, I guess loaded has adam pretty busy, but I am still kinda upset that whoisadamcolton.com is gone. Anyone else sad to see this go?
yeah dude. that sight was cool. back in the days of the adams with style. now in all their trick tip vids they seem like drunken hobos with no enthusiasm.

I had been hoping it was just the sign of an update in progress....
Yes the earlier videos were more...fun/peppy/silly. Unfortunately they are working for someone else now and not independent. The videos have become glorified advertisements.....

*sigh* Yeah. I went there Sat. night and thought it was maybe being updated or something, but then I realized it was gone.
Very sad, I loved the old videos, and that site was just cool in general.
I love Loaded and I like most of what the Adams have been up to, but I really hope they don't loose the intangibles that they've kind of gotten a reputation out of.

Don't forget that a lot of their more classic videos were also advertisements, just for a different company (LBL, for example).
I still think that the Loaded Dancer video was more about Adam and Adam than it was about the new board. Their talent and style were what made the video, which was really more of an opportunity/impetus for them to push their limits and grow as riders.

Insofar as the whole "dammit, it's all about the money" and other related nonsense ... not everybody has it within themselves to live in Mommy's basement. There's all these really weird obstacles to living apart from under a mother's apron string. You know, silly #### like ... oh, I dunno... rent, food, gas, beer, the occasional treat for one's sweetheart, clothes, bearings, shoes, etc etc etc.
C'mon, dudes .... are you really trying to tell me that if a company whose product you LOVED offered to pay you to do what you love, you'd turn it down based on some idealistic "principle"?
I didn't think so ...
(if you answered "yes" to that otherwise rhetorical question, I think it's pretty obvious that your time under Mommy's skirt isn't quite over with yet ... and that's most likely the closest you'll be getting to any nooky for quite some time! lol)
I dont think anyone here has said that they sold out. I just think it sucks that they no longer maintain their private site in light of their allegiances to other companies.

yeah, they were. But i liked the mood and feeling of the older trick tip videos more. They seemed to have more fun.

I agree. They hadn't put out a video in a long time, and they could have done all that stuff on basically any board.

True but they didn't feel as much like it. the older ones were more like a video that happened to have a certain board in it. The new ones are blatant adds and while still fun to watch you don't forget what it's about.

I would have to disagree to an extent...Loaded's advertisement strategy IS Adam & Adam. While the video was an add for the Dancer, and I liked it less than any other of their videos....not sure why, I just don;t like it much.
I do have to say that working within the indutry has allowed them to possibly skate even more...and that is not a bad thing.

I agree, though it might depend on the priciple
