Re: Anyone Longboard w/ Their Dog?
I have a finnish Lapinporokoira, its basically half huskie, half sheepdog, they use them for herding reindeer. She's a bandit on the longskate, but she's always stopping for no reason and getting her head pulled off. Plus one time she ran around an old lady and i nearly garotted her with the leash.HAHAHAHA

Re: Anyone Longboard w/ Their Dog?
Hahaha dozer! Is the treadmill a ploy, to make him look active?
Last time I had my dog pull me (120 lbs of German Sheppard) I ended up bailing into gons of Goose crap on the golf course.

Actually the vet said dozer needed to do some cardio and i cant take her out for walks she doesn't work and play well with others so i got her a treadmill and she sits on it for one hour a day. Its a start

the only way i can even get him up off the wifes yoga mat these days is by giving him a cheese burger.

Personal responsibility for one's choices is dead and buried, even in something as simple as a plank with four wheels.
pete..Having a board doesn't make you a longboarder-riding it does.

Re: Anyone Longboard w/ Their Dog?
how about being towed by a TEAM of dogs? that would be sick. like DH without the downhill portion. you could race and everything. a non-arctic form of dogsled teams.
i should find a bunch of dogs and try that.

i have an idea, yeah. especially in full leathers.
someone would probably call the police, with a report like "that bright leather and amount of dogs is bothering me. it's disturbing the tranquility. i bet they're all stolen dogs, too. and that person on the skateboard is a crackhead pimp vandal."

Re: Anyone Longboard w/ Their Dog?
Yeah, I skate with my dogs. Kind of risky since I have two, I normally have to split them with one other person or I let one off leash.
Although my worst crash was because of my dog. There were some other dogs who were off leash and attacked my dog. Luckily I wasn't on my board at the time, so it was cool. I leash her up and the other owners grab their dogs and take them out of the way. But the douches don't leash up their dogs so when I go to skate by them my dog gets out in FRONT of my board and STOPS. Needless to say I ran into her (she was fine, didn't even notice) and I go flying several feet. Got ripped up so bad I couldn't board for the next couple of days.
Learned my lesson- don't do it when your dog is distracted. Or let them off leash so they don't feel the need to jump in front of your board.

Re: Anyone Longboard w/ Their Dog?
I HATE when my dogs go with me when I go skating. Both of them get right in the way of my board and feet and go into brainless mode when running along side and don't listen to anything I have to say until I stop. I also hate running into the neighbors dogs when out riding that like to try and attack me. Last altercation with those vicious dogs down the road I kicked one in the head and made it do a backflip.
Really.. I love dogs.. just not when skating.
Oh.. and I have two dogs, both girls. One Boxer and a German Shepard and something else mix that is adopted. I really do love them even though they can be aggravating when they want to play and I want to skate.
