Wheels for Torpedo40 with S8's

I need bigger wheels to go over some of the semi-rough roads around my area.
I was thinking something like Oldschools or Otangs, but I dont know too much about what makes the wheels ride smoother. Also, if anyone knows a general size that i shouldn't exceed on the board and trucks please let me know, I want to avoid wheel bite.

Some wheel suggestions, or knowledge would really help me decide.

bigzigs, pink or lime (77a and 80a respectively). Cheaper than otangs and a more absorptive urethane

What is it about the actual wheels that make them ride smoother, and is the Torpedo 40 worth it, or should i go with a different board.?

Torpedo is a sweet board. I never rode it, but I rode a bunch of different Original boards/trucks. I'm loving the stubbed up nose/tail on that thing. If you don't want to slide out on downhill carves though def. go with pink zigzags or anything with a lip
